| When Can She Go Swimming? At what age is it ok to take my pup swimming. She is just 11 wks (almost 12) right now. I live in South Florida so its not cold here (high of 87 today). But I still havent hopped in the pool this year. Maybe in a month or so Ill take a swim. Will she still be too young then?? I want to get her one of those swimming vest/float things too.... any other suggestions, advice, comments? |

| She is old enough with your assistance. However your not going to be able to find a swim vest that will fit her yet. The smallest one I have ever found is the one I have for my 6lb yorkie

| I was wondering the same thing! Meeko is already 4months, I wanted to take him in the pool soon! My parents dog LOVES the pool! He jumps in all the time when someones swimming soo I was hoping Meeko would be the same. I love in FL too!!! I'm in Delray Beach, not too far from you. Swimming would be nice every once in a while! |

| hey yeah! delray's not far from me at all :-P let me know if u find something to use for ur pup to be honest, none of my dogs when i was growing up wore vests (german shepherds, chow mix, and a shih tzu) but she is just so much more smaller than the others so I dont wanna take any risks. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Make sure the water temperature has warmed up...puppies can get hypothermia. We have life vests but don't use them in the pool. We use them for boating. Mine swim....but they much prefer riding their boogie boards.
