Tricksie loves to play with toys but she wants to chew them and eat them.
I tried the Bully Sticks and they made her sick.
We need help.

I know what you mean. For such tiny mouths they sure can chew. I too have a super chewer. He went through every type of toy made until I found one called Kong Wubba. It's 2 smallish balls covered with a heavy ribbed material. He has two and he adores them. So far he's been unable to tear them, shred them or in any way ruin them. Look on the Kong Pet Toys site and they are under "new products". I'm in north Tampa and we have a store called Pet City that carries them. Give it a try.

Thanks, will do. I had bought Kong toys a year ago and she chewed them, hope these work.

Hi I have a strong chewer and I gave him a Kong Wubba 5 minutes later he had chewed through the fabric over the top ball, so you have been very lucky with yours.

Wow, and I thought Scooter was a super chewer. I'm stumped for an answer as to what a really agressive chewer should use. I saw in a Doctors Foster and Smith catalog that they have toys for agressive chewers but they look to be all rubber or something like that. I've yet to have a dog that will chew on a rubber or plastic toy. Gee what gives these little darlings such strong mouths? Seriously, I also have a 25 pound terrier mix and she doesn't chew anywhere near as hard as Scooter.

Glad I saw this info, was trying to order the Wubba, but don't think so.

I have always bought my Yorkies KONGS of all sorts, and when I saw the Wubba I thought great something different, but it is not designed as a chew toy, only a tug play toy. I have emailed the manufaturer and this is what they said in reply to my complaint.

Thank you for the email regarding the Kong Wubba. I am sorry to hear that you have experienced a problem with this product and are subsequently disappointed with its quality.

Firstly, unlike the regular rubber Kong toys, the Kong Wubbas are not designed as chew toys and it does not state this anywhere on the products packaging. It states 'perfect tug and toss toy' and 'supervised use only.'

Kong Wubbas are designed for supervised, interactive play, either between dog and owner or 2 or more dogs, perfect for tugging, tossing and retrieval. The long tails make them easy to throw and retrieve, while also allowing for “tug” style games to be played. They will not withstand a dog being allowed to continuously chew on it, but when used in the correct fashion, they do prove to be very strong and hard wearing.

The reinforced nylon fabric covers two rubber squeaker balls in the small size and a squeaker ball and a solid tennis ball in the medium and large sizes. As the Wubbas are designed to squeak, the ball therefore needs to be soft enough to allow for this compression and for the squeak to sound. If they were solid rubber this would not be possible.

We do take all product complaints seriously, and like to co-operate as much as we can.

I hope this proves useful to others, so you ensure your follow the manufactures advise and don't let them sit and chew them.

My Teddy can destroy a NYLABONE in no time at all, he is only a 9lb Yorkie and has a small mouth, but he chews like you wouldn't believe.

He had the XTREME BLACK KONG LARGE SIZE and that is fine, He is the only Yorkie I have had who will chew rubber toys, and they actually last him.

I have stopped him having Nylabones, except for one type, due to some recent problems I saw on the internet about them. I don't want to elabortate here, as I wouldn't want the company to get upset with me, but if you do a search on Google, on NYLABONE you will see why I stopped Teddy having them. But even those didn't last him.

He is amazingly strong.

It goes to show sometimes we have to not only buy the right type of toy, but sometimes a larger size too, He has toys that you would give some German Shepards. He is a sweetheart and I he loves to chew
