If this lady thinks her pups are worth that much money then she can sell them for that. I personally would not spend that much money on one (even though they are beautiful), but someone else may want to buy one.

This breeder has been attacked over and over again with people assuming she breeds all of her smaller females (which is NOT true), so I have decided to help her out and completely re-do her website for her. I have sat back and saw too many assumptions that were NOT correct for long enough. Example being: Mimi is her PET and weighs 1 lb 5 ounces and she is in the dam page. I made sure to put on that page that some of the smaller ones are NOT used for breeding. No where on her website has there ever been terms used like Teacup etc. Perhaps in the future people will be more clear on that fact! She has been breeding Yorkie's longer then some of you have been alive.

Generally speaking, the likes of millers and people like Jeff Dane 'know their own dogs better' than "these so-called educators" too--should we only take his claims to be fact too? It would be foolish to think that all breeders would only present you with the honest truth as we all know that is not the case, sadly. Not to pass judgement on this particular breeder, just making a general statement/point/observation.

Yorkie forums, books, many different breeders, your vet....there are lots of places that you can get the right answers. Most of the info here on YT is the truth, and if it is not it is going to be disputed by sooo many people that any reasonable person would think twice about believing it.

umm...the YTCA actually sets the standard for the Yorkshire Terrier that the AKC uses...They are basically THE people that set ethical guidelines and the standard for our breed. I'm surprised you don't know that

I don't understand when the Yorkshire standard says not to exceed 7 pounds , http://www.akc.org/breeds/yorkshire_terrier/index.cfm, it says nothing about a minimum weight, maybe I missed it
