I wouldn't say anything being said is off topic...maybe not positive..but on topic for sure. BTW - I've seen this breeder mentioned in other threads before

Origin of Yorkshire Terriers

The Yorkshire Terrier traces to the Waterside Terrier, a small longish-coated dog, bluish-gray in color, weighing between 6 and 20 pounds (most commonly 10 pounds). The Waterside Terrier was a breed formed by the crossing of the old rough-coated Black-and-Tan English Terrier (common in the Manchester area) and the Paisley and Clydesdale Terriers. It was brought to Yorkshire by weavers who migrated from Scotland to England in the mid-19th century.

The Yorkshire Terrier made its first appearance at a bench show in England in 1861 as a "broken-haired Scotch Terrier". It became known as a Yorkshire Terrier in 1870 when, after the Westmoreland show, Angus Sutherland reported in The Field magazine that "they ought no longer be called Scotch Terriers, but Yorkshire Terriers for having been so improved there."

The earliest record of a Yorkshire Terrier born in the United States dates to 1872. Classes for the breed have been offered at all shows since 1878. Early shows divided the classes by weight - under 5 pounds and 5 pounds and over. Size, however, soon settled down to an average of between 3 and 7 pounds, resulting in only one class being offered in later shows.
While a Toy, and at various times a greatly pampered one, the Yorkshire is a spirited dog that definitely shows its terrier strain. The show dog's length of coat makes constant care necessary to protect it from damage, but the breed is glad to engage in all the roistering activities of the larger terrier breeds.

Please stop picking on Natalie. In the 70"s I finished 2 AKC champions,mainly from wildweir lines,both males were 3 pounds!

What is YTCA besides a group of about 320 people in the united states that vote and decide what they think a yorksshire terrier should be are they affiliated with AKC do they make the rules for the AKC show? What is there purpose besides being a club for yorkies?

You're right, her site was discussed. Before now her dams were listed....3 lbers (listed under dams and one 2 lbs) on her website. It seems as if they vanished. What happened?

Is that a rule in all of the For Sale threads here or just the "Featured breeders"? I think it is a shame if people cannot be informed by those members who DO know the difference between a good breeder and a bad one. I am not saying that this seller is one or the other but my gosh, how are those potential buyers supposed to make an informed decision on a 5000 dollar purchase?
Frankly, I would want to know the good bad and the ugly before I plunk down 5 grand on a puppy! Anyone with any sense would.

That is what the breeder review section is for...

I do not know this breeder or there pups but I feel that if you want to know about her or others go to the review section and ask or look.

A buyer should do their own homework. It is plastered all over YT that there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie and the very small ones should not have a bigger price, but if someone still wants a very small yorkie then it is their business if they choose to purchase one with such an outrageous price.

If one is not sure about a breeder then they can ask about them on the breeder review section.

If this lady thinks her pups are worth that much money then she can sell them for that. I personally would not spend that much money on one (even though they are beautiful), but someone else may want to buy one.
