but just temporarily. As some of you know, I will be having back surgery at the end of September and unfortunately, since I'm the only person who runs Cafe Max, I will be unable to bake and process orders for about 2 months following my surgery

. I also have many things to take care of prior to the surgery so I will not be taking any more orders after Tuesday 8/28/07. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I hope to be up and running again after Thanksgiving in time for Christmas. Look for our grand re-opening in time for the holidays (I hope).

Brenda - take care of that back of yours....I know how you feel...haven't gone the surgery route yet but Pilates and Yoga are the key for me so far. We'll be here waiting to order once you get up and about by Christmas.

I do have a herniated disc in my lower back but that's not actually why I'm having surgery--I no longer have pain or symptoms from that because I've been exercising at least 5 days a week for 1-2 hours. You are right, exercise is DEFINITELY key. But while I was having problems last year, a tiny tumor showed up on my first MRI--it was farther above the herniated disc--and has been monitored for the past year. It's still tiny and asymptomatic but it will be better to remove it now while it's still small. Plus I currently feel great from all the exercising I've been doing so I hope the recovery period won't be quite as long.

We'll be thinking about you. Hugs! Sounds like you are in great shape, so I'm sure the surgery will be much easier. John just had his second back surgery, and it's no fun, but much better than the alternative. You're smart for catching whatever that spot is early.

Hi Brenda, I hope your back surgery goes well and you recover FAST!!! I can't wait for the re-opening!!! Chloe is sure gonna miss your treats badly!!! Just wonder..how long does 10oz treats last??? I know I just ordered a birthday basket for Chloe's birthday and it comes with 10oz treats...since you will be temp. closing, so I wanna order more just in case I run out before the re-opening!!! How long can you treat last?? Thanks!!

Thanks, I hope it goes well too and I'm back to my active self before I know it. I recommend that they be used within 2 months if they are stored in an airtight container without refrigeration. I never refrigerated them so I can't say if they last longer in the fridge. Some people on YT may have stored them there so they may have more input for you.
