| Shipping and Handling Changes Over the holidays I have had quite a bit of experience on lost packages and being that I only do this part time, is it quite difficult for me to catch up with replacements, not to mention losses on labor and material costs since I feel obligated to replace the package at NO COST to the buyer. As a seller, in order to continue being in business, I need to ensure lost packages are completely avoided if at all possible. I of course understand the frustration of a buyer too if the package does get lost especially if there is no proof of it being ever delivered. So, effective immediately I will be using the added service of a delivery confirmation. Delivery Confirmation simply means there is a tracking # associated to your package which provides the date and time of delivery or attempted delivery. In doing so, I will have proof of delivery for each and every package that goes out the door. Therefore, all proof of delivery packages will NO LONGER be replaced at NO CHARGE. I hope this decision is fare to everyone. I know that ebay transactions likewise are never paid by the seller so I hope you feel I am being fair. I sent out my first batch of orders yesterday with a tracking # at no additional cost as I really want to avoid any more missing packages. However, I will be adjusting my shipping and handling charges slightly to accomodate this change. Don't worry, even with the adjustment, my shipping rates will still be fairly reasonable. I am also wanting to take advantage of automatically using the SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION on all orders over $80.00 at no extra cost to the customer. This is a good service to take advantage of since it will require a signature from someone at your address to sign for the package and this ensures you get your package. The only downside to this is that if there is no one at home to sign for it, it might require you to pick it up at the post office. And that is why I hesitate to add this shipping feature. I guess I feel that if most of you think this is a great idea then I will do so but I need to hear from YOU. If you have a suggestion or comment please feel free to let me know via e-mail or PM as I am constantly trying to improve the level of customer service. |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | All is very understandable!!!! The only problem would be for me is I work full time out of the home 5 days a week and when packages are delivered needing a signature, I have a hard time trying to get there to pick it up. But I'm sure it would work for others |

| I think I would prefer the signature required because I have a VERY hard time with the idea of having to pay for a package if I never get it -- tracking number or not. I would prefer to pay more and have to have the signature. If someone is taking advantage of you, then I would see the problem -- but I would be very unhappy about having to eat the cost of a package never received. The seller can at least claim it as a business expense and they are only out the real cost of the item and not the price I pay. You were so generous with everyone this Christmas, this must have been a big problem for you to consider a policy like this. Sorry it came to that. Will you consider "signature required" for deliveries under $80?

| THis is a great idea.........our Christmas gofetch furbaby hoodie never made it I LOVE delivery confirmation because for 55 cents more it's make a heck of a difference. Not too long ago, I was tracking a part to my car online and it showed as delivered. When I called USPS they said it was delivered, yet I never received it. Turns out they delivered my package elsewhere and they had to go back, get it and hand deliver it to me the next day Jess

| Des- I totally understand and have no problem with this policy. For those of you who work, the Post Office will usually leave a sticky note that allows you to sign and leave on the door and then they will deliver accordingly. Keep doing your great work!!!!

| As a business owner myself, this is the only way to go. It saves a lot of time fustration, and money in the long run. USPS itself has a lot of mishaps personally and confirmation will obliterate this problem for the post part. On the other hand, USPS is the most affordable vs charging much higher rates using UPS or Fed Ex. Thumbs up! |

| I think it's an excellent idea! I don't have and don't plan on having a website for items that I make. But, when I was getting orders for PJs, I didn't care if the order was for one or five of them, I used delivery confirmations. Peace of mind for both the Seller and Buyer. The only problem I ran into was shipping to Canada was a bit more pricey. I say GO FOR IT!!! I'll still order from you... |

| Maybe you can offer "insurance optional" on your orders too. That way, you can purchase the shipping insurance, which should in fact, pay for lost/damaged items. I know I wouldn't mind paying that little extra for insurance - especially, when it is the current and honest amount - I have noticed some people try to get more money by "upping" the insurance amount. (not here, on eBay). If you do insurance, isn't the delivery confirmation included in that? Or is that just when you ship Priority? -- I can't remember. But I think delivery confirmation is a plus too! There have been numerous times I have waited for a package and had no clue on it. I would rather have the abilty to check it online myself instead of trying to contact the seller each time. That might ease the need to use the signatures, which may not always be the best. EX< - I remember working out of the home years ago and would have a sticky note for a package to sign for - the package being in my small town post office, but I working in another town. I know our small town post office doesn't open until 8am, they close for lunch for 30-1hour and they close by 5pm. For people working, there would be no way to get the package until the weekend, and our small town post office closes before noon on Saturdays. I did just get a package that I had to sign for, but luckily, the carrier had brought it to my home and I signed for it here - that was the first time I actually signed for a package at home - normally, we just get the slip in our box to go to the post office. <each location may be different, I don't know> In any case Des, we love you and your goodies and you are always so good to each of us - I am sure that no one would mind the added cost, especially knowing that it is a peace of mind for them and you! Great job w/ everything you do and come up w/! I know I will be happy w/ whatever you do! --just wanted to add my thoughts!

At least with the delivery confirmation, I can do everything from home, and then drop it off at the PO mailbox on my way to the office. I went inside the PO to get all my first batch of orders yesterday and I cannot imagine the line - it was long - and then they had to stamp and scan each and every package of mine (they must hate me because I brought a bag full and kept the other customers waiting too long) which took forever, it seems. Thankfully, the guy said I could take the forms, fill it out at home add the appropriate additional cost and mail drop it at the mailbox - and that to me seems more doable for my situation. | |

| There is an option for insurance right on the click and ship form. On second thought, maybe it is only on the priorty mail option. Quote:
