Need Advice - False Pregnancy?

My Shayna had her first heat in Aug and ending at the end of Aug, we thought she was having a false pregnancy. Her nipples swelled (vet said "Didn't yours") and she is nesting like crazy, licking like crazy, more territorial and never got out of my sight to get with a male. The swelling on her vulva when down about 30 days ago. Now it is 84 days later and the owner of her mother just looked at her and said she's pregnant.

My question is- Would she be in a false pregnancy that long? Or do I have to worry about anything else. I try to read everything. I thought I read it doesn't last this long.

The worst part was that I had a bad night with her last night I was up at 3am with her erping and very loud stomach noises, but she was fine. When I finally got back to sleep I drempt she had puppies at my High School Reunion. Okay, what gives?

My neighbor is buying a Yorkie for her sister for Christmas. The breeder plans on letting the puppy go at 8 weeks.

I told my neighbor this is too soon. The puppy will be alone all day, and he will be missing out on socialization from his mom and siblings.

Everything I have read and heard say they shouldn't leave before 10 weeks.

Can someone offer some advice to give her? She passed on my comments to the breeder, and now the breeder is offended! I didn't say anything rude. I just said that 8 weeks was too young, and I understand that she is in the business, but that the puppy's welfare should come first. ( I would hope that this is the reason most people are in the business, but I realize that is not the case :()

The breeder said I don't know her and have no right to judge her, and that she would not let the baby go unless he was ready. Hmmmm. I don't agree.

My girl had her pups on sunday. All are doing fantastic! I have been so busy since then I will update tho in my other thread.

-mom normally eats Merricks and the puppy version when she got pregnant.
-about 3 weeks into preg she wouldn't eat it. I made her chicken, rice and mixed dry and wet.
-pups are here and she is ALWAYS hungry. But...she won't eat the chicken or the dry or if I mixed wet in dry she spits out the dry.
-I got a couple sample packs of other high quality puppy food. She will peridically eat those bits on their own. Or mixed.

What do I do? I need her to eat good and proper. Do I buy a completly different dry pup food and let her switch? Is eating wet most of the day ok? I am baffled by what to do in order for her to get numerous small meals a day! Oh, one of her meals is a scrambled egg which she ATTACKS cause she loves it so much.

Any and all advice would be great! Thanks!

I will update them all in my other thread!

HELP!!!!

I have had JC for 9 months. He is now 1 1/2 years.

I knew when I bought him, he was not house trained, but I figured he was still young and I would be able to accomplish this feat. He was abused and I now think it was because of this challenge. The biggest dilemma is that he was never crated.

I love this little guy so much and my heart is broken because I don't think I will be able to keep him. I cannot train him and I have tried absolutely everything. I have gotten some of the best suggestions from this site, pet stores, groomers and breeders. I was even thinking of trying to contact the Dog Whisperer, but I know he would not be able to help. I'm sure he has millions of owners writing with their problems.

I am sick about this, but I have been told that many small dogs never get it and continue to make mistakes forever. The crazy thing is sometimes he'll go for days without going in the house, then I have days like yesterday when he peed 7 times and pottied once. I am at my wits end and don't know what to do.

I cannot sell him for fear another family will have the same challenge and re-abuse him or get rid of him to another family who may again abuse him. I cannot live like this, yet I am so in love with him, I cannot give him up. He is the sweetest baby dog I've ever owned. Plus, he is perfect in every other way. He is also one of the smartest dogs I've ever had and I don't understand why he is not getting this. Sometimes I feel, because of the abuse, he may be like a bed wetter, he just can't control it. Yet again, he holds himself all night long which can go as long as 8-10 hours.

I am absolutely baffled and becoming frustrated beyond belief. I am trying to keep my patience in check, but patience for what, I have no other avenue to go down. Honestly, I have tried everything.

I don't think I am asking for advice because I don't think there is anything that can be done now, but I am venting to all the Yorkie owners who understand and sympathize my plight.

Thank you for listening.

I notice every so often (not that often) that my girls have been sort of sneezing. I say sort of because it's not an actual sneeze per say, but more like they're just blowing air out of their noses trying to clear them. I guess that's the best way to put it- kinda like a half sneeze. ??? Is that okay and normal? I notice it more after they eat when they do this, and it's just a little bit but I'm just extra paranoid over every little thing and want to make sure these babies are 100% healthy.
