I just sent an e-mail to the shelter but no reply yet! Just wondering if anyone is near the shelter and would be willing to meet him & see his personality.

If I get approved, it would be nice (if they allow it) to help get him transported closer to me in Maryland but I'd be willing to make the drive.

I'm not even approved or contacted by these ppl yet, but I was just curious!

Hi my name is Joyce I have a 10 week old yorkie whom I adore, we are pad training and she shreds her pads. She waits till she pees and shreds the wet area so Iv'e been changing them constantly and now her knew thing is she rips the edges off and eats them. I really don't know what to do, it can't be too good for her. I am always pulling paper out of her mouth. If it was warm enough I would house break her but I think it is too cold bc she is so young. Any advice out there cuz I am pulling my hair out:eek:

email from Werner, Rich RWerner@us.loreal.comTo all the previous attendees of the Annual “Because Your Dog is Worth it Too” Event:

First off: many thanks from the employee’s and friends of L’Oreal in Cranbury, NJ and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This August’s event raised over $100,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and also proved to be a very successful day for the over 60 rescues and non-profits that were in attendance. Unfortunately our business calendar and work commitments only allow us to run the event during a few select periods of the year(February, April, August, November), so there is the reason we hold the event in August.

So, we are going to try something a little different for a “dog friendly” event on November 8th.

Our friends at Etsch Farms in Monroe, NJ have agreed to make their farm “dog friendly”! On November 8th humans and their “best friends” will be allowed to traverse the 8 acre corn maze, enjoy a family w/dog hay ride, and shop in a small vendor village that is comprised entirely of non-profit rescues. As we just finalized this event, we don’t have everything firmed up yet in regards to what else might be happening. We have no aspirations of even trying to put anything even close to the August event. We have had some ideas about doing this in the fall of 2010. Instead, we will work out some of the logistic kinks(parking/layout, etc) and possibly set the groundwork for a future “Woodstock” like dogexperiencein the next few years.

For those of you that attended the first few years of the August event, you have recognized the growth of the event and hopefully this will be the start of something similar?

So we invite you for a “day out” with your dog. Initial Details as follows:

Date: November 8th 2009
Time: Open 10:00 am and last entry into the corn maze at 4:00 pm

A few select non-profits/rescues on-site. All other proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Donation:

Entry into the Corn Maze: $ 10 per person, dogs free
Hay Ride: 2 humans/one dog or 2 for $5

Food provided by local vendors.
Open run Dog Park, any other events: not sure yet?

“Customized L’Oreal doggie bags” to all paid registrations for the corn maze.
Limited $25 Patron bags available.

Registration: day of event onlyor on-site at the L’Oreal facility. No web-site or mail in registration.

Directions and site info available at www.etschfarms.com

Etsch Farms
556 Buckelew Avenue(Route 522)
Monroe, NJ 08831

Again, we have two weeks to put this one together. The event is about having fun and raising $ and awareness for two great causes. We look forward to hosting you and your dog and supporting an effort to eliminate breast cancer in our lifetime.

Hey there! As you can see, I'm quite new to the forums and I'm from New York. Although I'm new to the forums, it doesn't necessarily mean that I don't know anything about Yorkies. I've been doing a lot of homework on them. Read a lot about them and learned what and who to watch out for. I'm currently looking for a Reputable Breeder. I am looking for a male Yorkie, any help is appreciated. Thank you for your time.
