Well hello everyone, I haven't been on here in a while but I have a few questions to ask about breeding mates.

What age is a male recommended to stop being a stud, does age determine or effect the pups quality and/or the amount of litters he's help produce? How do you determine which male to breed your female with? Are there any signs that will tell you which one she prefers or which male is more interested?

I've bred once before with one of the two males in question & the other male is his son, but this is a different female & my "grandson" & her tried the first time I noticed she was in heat with no success, it's been another year so I'm trying them again but don't know if I should just let his dad do his thing?

Hope all is well with everyone!

I have a 5 year old male yorkie. We got him about a month ago from a neighbor who did everything to get him to run away so we happily took him in. When we got him he was not fixed, had a UTI, kennel cough, and an infection in his gums from the 11 teeth he needed pulled (yes you read that correctly, 11 teeth!)

We got all his infections cleared and on Wednesday he went under for his neuter and while he was under they did the extractions and also a dental cleaning. Due to the mouth procedures he can only eat canned food for 2 weeks until his month is healed. Which is no problem since we already have him a mixed of wet and dry food anyway. He took the procedures like a champ and by the next day he was back to his old self. He doesn't seem to be in pain. The only thing I've noticed is his back legs aren't very steady. Like he's missing when steps over something and when he's standing for a few minutes he will lift a leg up like its bothering him.

The problem is here it is Sunday night and he hasn't pooped since the day of his surgery. Is this normal?

The fact that his legs seem to be off and he hasn't pooped makes me nervous, my paranoid self jumps to worst conclusion that they've caused some nerve damage during his surgery.. The realist in me says its probably just the meds he's on..

Thoughts?

What a weekend. We had a wedding Saturday night and the grandkids were having a blast dancing and all. Elizabeth started crying she is my 4 year old grand daughter I was carrying her down some steps to take her outside to see what was up. Away from all the noise. My dd was following me and I turned around to tell her what was up. And missed the next two steps.. So as I am falling I am trying to make sure Elizabeth is okay. Thank goodness she was. My ankel was hurting very bad. But I said let me go home and see how it was in the morning.. It was no better so to the Er we went. Nothing broken but said it could be some torn ligaments. So in a walking boot. If not better in 10 days they said I would need a MRI. So me in dh booth have boots on our left feet. I really think our luck needs to change.:(

I wasn't very good at keeping up with biweekly/monthly photo themes, so I think I'll try the Photo a Day trend here on YT. This way I only have to post once a month on what the themes will be :) I am in a group on Facebook that does this each month and thought we'd easily be able to do it here on YT. So, each day of the month has its own theme and we'll post pictures that fit in with that theme for that day.

I finally got the bag last evening. It's a Cece Kent knockoff bag with a zipper added to the back of the bag. It was 1/2 the price of an original but I have to say, there were plenty of boo boos. But considering, I'm getting what I paid for...although, after a trip this week, I may take this prototype back and ask them to fix the errors as they are inconvenient...such as a quick escapee for one! The ventilation holes were put too low, they didn't include the discreet flap on top, AND it's not even black, the color I asked for! Honestly, I've got shoes this color so not too big of a problem. Also, I don't care for the fabric inside and the bag was made a little taller and the straps placed a little lower, haha The mesh suede...a bit hot. Also a big problem is the outside pocket isn't deep, causing the bag to pooch out when I put a few things into the bag. Like I mentioned already, I hope to go back after our trip and see if they'll make a new bag correcting the errors. ;0)

I taught Callie something new. We have a rug under our dinning room table then its about four feet from a hallway that has the master bedroom, a bathroom and laundry room and at the end of the hall is the door to the garage well Callie won't go out doors except once when she was having anxiety and wanted to be with me because lots of family was here but when my parents come they have an opener to the garage and come in that way so Callie would run to the door to great them and if the garage door was up it just made me nervous even though she never acted like she was going to leave and my grandpa is slow when he comes in and out that door so I taught Callie to wait on the corner of the rug and not go past that when people are coming in. She knows people are here because we have a driveway alarm and she can hear the garage open. Today was the big test because Sammy was coming with my parents. Well she heard the door and went to the hallway and I said Callie carpet and she ran back to her corner of the carpet and waited even when she saw Sammy she waited until I heard the door close and told her ok. She was even in a play bow when she saw Sammy but didnt leave her spot. It worked again when they were leaving. I didn't even use any treats I just had been telling her to stay in that spot for a few weeks every time some one was leaving or coming and I always said stay on the carpet and give her the stay hand gesture.

The pink star is the longest lasting toy in this house! I got it for Lily when she was 2m old now she is 1yr 6m. It's for puppies and they haven't torn it to pieces but the ropes that are for big dogs they destroy in a month, go figure!

Taka is like I didn't do it mom!!
