I'm not on the board that much and didn't even realize that there was a problem until I pm'd administration and asked about her. I sent her a personal check for a bag on 8/28/09 and we chatted back and forth.

On 10/17/09 she pm'd me and said the bags were in and that I would get it shortly. She also said she'd been having personal problems and was sorry for the delay.

Well I still don't have it and doubt now that I ever will. I don't want to cause any trouble and no one need reply to this thread unless you have a contact number or email for her. I did have an email that she gave me on 10/17 and have emailed her several times but to no avail.

Thanks for any help. Weezie aka Connie

Does anyone have an experience with C.E.T Hygiene Rinse?
I've read that some of you have used Maxi Guard for your liver dogs. Does it work well? Also - is the CET rinse and Maxi Guard basically the same products? Or could I use both? I'm a little confused.

Thanks,

Well the vet confirmed it and has shown me how to express the milk and I am dying of laughter. She 's been looking like a cow and now I have to milk her. My DH says "Do we get a machine for this" LOL. She's been a nesting freak for months now.
I made this one for my husband and he said I ought to sell them. I would just need a photo of your furbaby I did the heart but mocked up an oval one too just in case.

I'm thinking I should charge around $20.00? And if I don't get too many orders I can have them done by Christmas.
Does anyone have any constructive criticism for me? If so please PM me.

Mayme has been pawing at this spot on her head and I noticed this morning that's it really red. It's about the size of the tip of your pinky finger. She had a reaction to her rabies shot on Sunday and I hadn't noticed any more red skin from the reaction until today when I found that spot on her head right above her right eye today.

Before her rabies shot I had noticed an extremely red spot on the center of the back of her neck which since giving her benedryl for the past 5 days after the reaction has basically gone away. She has been biting at her rear end alot and scratching her neck/licking paws ALOT lately. All of which the benedryl cleared up.

I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this or know what it might be. I don't believe it's from the reaction to rabies because I had noticed the spot on the back of her neck before she had the shot. So, I'm thinking the one on her head is related.

I'm in the process of switching vets, so she doesn't have an appointment until next Friday. I panic any time something is out of the norm with her.....so it anyone has any ideas i'd greatly appreciate them.

My life has turned upside down since last night. I was in the kitchen cooking for the furbutts a new batch of food, when I noticed that Missy, my 13yo shih tzu was lying in the middle of the living room, breathing very heavily, in a huge pool of her own urine! That's the last time I remember my world the way it used to be....

It was around 11pm. I threw a coat on top of my pj's and rushed her to the nearest emergency clinic. By the time i got there her gums were all white, she had very low heart beat, she was panting even heavier, and I was told she could be going into shock. They told me that they need to keep her overnight to stabilize her, and do some tests to find out what it is that's doing this to her! Gave me her collar and sweater and told me to pay a deposit of $3000 and go home! Well, I paid the deposit but didn't go home until they told me that she is in ICU, a bit stablized, and they are doing tests on her and they will call me as soon as they know anytihng. I would have stayed there all night, but I was worried sick for Sushi and Mr.Big that were all alone at home. So I went back home.

About an hour later they emerg vet called me. He told me that so far they have done some preliminary tests and they can tell it's the heart that's failing, and her lungs are filled with fluids, and basically she is drowning. she was diagnosed with an early stage heart murmur a few months ago but the vet had decided to just monitor ir for now. She is also in early stages of kidney failure.

The emerg vet told me that they have to give her this medication to control the situation. It is going to be hard on her kidneys, but if thay don't she won't make it through the night. I gave them the go ahead. then they had to ask me the most difficult question of all: If she stops breathing, should we resuccitate her or should we let her go?!!.... I don't know how much you guys can relate to being in that position, but it felt like they were ripping my heart out of my chest. I asked the vet what he would do if it was his own dog. He told me it would be the humane thing to let her go if it gets to that point. Because she would immensely suffer if they get on her and try and bring her back, and even if they manage to do that (which would be very unlikely that she would in fact come back), that might give her another few weeks of misery. Not a good quality life that you would want for your loved one. So I told him if he thinks that's the right thing to do, then let her go in peace.

Please please don't judge me for having said that. At that point all I could think of was making sure she doesn't suffer. Oh god, please forgive me if I made a mistake.

The vet told me that he's not too certain that she will make it through the night. But he will call me if anytihng happens. He told me to be "prepared".All night I was sitting in bed with Sushi and Biggie, holding her collar in my hand and begging begging begging god to give her strength, to bring her back home to me, to give me a bit more time with her, so I could hold her tighter and longer in my arms, to spoil her even more than before, and to make her chicken which she goes absolutely crazy over.

I got a call early this morning that she made it. She is far from being perfect, still in ICU, still very dependant on the oxygen tent, but at least she's alert. They even told me she is being very affectionate and super cute, and making the staff melf for her.

A cardiolgist is seeing her this afternoon.(another $1000, yikes!). And then she will decide if it's ok for me to see her, or if the excitement would put too much strain on her weak little heart. It's up to the cardiologist to decide if and when she can come home. But they said maybe tomorrow afternoon, if that.

All I can do right now is sit her at work, with my cellphone right in front of me, and pretend that I'm actually getting some work done. Everytime the phone rings i almost wanna faint.

Since I came home last night without missy, Sushi has been a total pain. She's very jittery and irritable. She comes and curls herself up on my lap, stares at me and gives out these little whimpers every now and then. i'm sure she is picking up on something, she's very sensitive.

I apologize for the super lengthy post, I just had to get it off my chest. I can't sleep, i can't eat, and surprisingly I can't even cry. I constantly feel this lump in my throat that just doesn't wanna come out. I know she is not going to be with me forever, but all I can ask for is just a little more time.

Sorry that I have not been on the boards to much. Things have been crazy here the last few weeks. November 5th my 5 year old niece had surgery, she is doing great!! I have been here with her ever since. I will be back to normal next week ( I hope) lol...

I also wanted to let you all know that Nicky is doing great, he LOVES hanigng out at "Aunt Nina's house" lol... I actually have two questions for you all...

1. Nicky is under weight, I can tell because I can REALLY feel his ribs when I am petting him and giving him lovin. Thing is he is eating but he just doesn't seem as pudgy as he once was. Could it be that he is loosig his baby fat? He will be a year old on the 7th of next month. Should I get him special food or something to help him gain weight?

2. I talked to my vet and he said that he has worked (neutered) little dogs before but it is VERY risky. Which made me tell him no that I would wait to get him fixed. Rocky Nicky's "Older brother"is getting fixed on Monday the 23rd. Should I seek out a vet that specializes in small animal neutering or just let it go? UGH

A frustrated pet mama

thanks for your advise, LOVE to hear what you all say, it is greatly appriciated!!

Can you please tell me what brands you are feeding your pets and whether or not your dogs have runny eyes and if you have to use something to clear it up (angel eyes, ACV, etc)
Im asking because my 2 little dogs have had massive runny eyes recently. (within the month) and Im relating it to thier food. They have had minor eye drainage on and off but now its really bad. My toy poodle gets runny eyes from any dog food product that has corn in it, so we obviously dont feed her anything with corn. I had them on Merricks, (they LOVED this food and Im very sad that they cant have it anymore) thats when their eyes were staining bad, along with red staining on thier feet, faces, and around the pooper. (even though they didnt poop a "red" colored poo ). Currently I have them switched to evangers pheasant and brown rice dry foods, (not their canned) and IM using angel eyes and when they will eat it yogurt to hopefully clear up the problem some. It doesnt seem to be helping much, but Ive only made the food switch 2ish weeks ago (along with adding the yogurt and angel eyes) and I know that it may take longer than that to get the old food out of their systems., but I need other food options just in case the Evangers doesnt help with the problem or they stop eating it (they have a history of this ) My dogs dont tolerate a "super high" protien diet and Im not willing to feed anything at this time made by diamond foods (because of the fish preservative they use). Thanks to everyone who took the time to post..:D
