I don't but do you? or are you thinking of trying agility with a yorkie? I have always been put off going to dog training and things because I thought bigger dogs would be a bit overpowering.

Hello there. Yes I do agility, earthdog, obedience and conformation with Yorkies. I run a website for small dogs with an international focus so I'm always on the lookout for EU and UK Yorkie owners who are interested in doing agility and other dog sports with Yorkies! It's harder in the UK though because there's been no changes in the jump height to accomadate little dogs. Was wondering about that and thought someone on this board might compete and could elaborate a little.

We don't do it ourselves but I have been given to understand by friends who do JRT agility the sizes are as follows Mini - if the dog is under 15" it will be jumping 15" Midi - 15" - 17" it will be jumping 20". But from next January it will be as follows: Small - Under 35cm jumping 25 - 35cm. Medium - Between 35 & 43cm jumping 35 - 45 cm. Last edited by Julie1; 06-10-2005 at 11:54 PM.
