| Has anyone found a car safety seat similiar to ones available in the US? Hi Just wondered if anyone has been able to find one of the luxury type pet car seats that they have available in the USA.? It seems crazy that no one's has imported them for use over here. The ones I have seen in the UK, look so flimsy and I wouldn't like my furbaby's chances of survival in an accident in one of them. luv Yvonne xx |

| I think that you have Petco in the UK. There is one that is similar to the snoozer car seat called the Pet Gear Booster Car Seat. You may want to check it out online.

| I don't know of the ones in the US, have you got a link to a website, I'm interested to see and my friend owns a pet store so I may be able to find some contact or other? Found these Outward Hound Dog Car Booster Seat Small dog clothes online at Elmo's, huge range of dog clothing, dog fashion and accessories including dog harnesses, dog leads, dog collars and dog beds plus small & big dog clothing and puppy clothing - Little Madam Be Safe Pink Dog Car Seat |

| Thanks for these replies. I looked for a Petco in the UK and I did find Pet-co but I did not find the car seat you mentioned there. I have seen it elsewhere, but I feel the nylon sides offer little protection. I had a look at Pet London Safety and the ones they offer are very similiar to the Snoozer ones in the USA. They are still not what I want. I would like one that is deeper, so there is more protection around my dog. I like the Snoozer ones and I like the console ones ones, although they do not look particularly deep, they do look strong and well made and have a high back. I suppose the best one for me would be the Snoozer Luxury Lookout High Back Console or perhaps the Snoozer Lookout 1. Tinksmom, the site I saw is: Snoozer Luxury Lookout Line Dog Car Seat at Dog-Car-Seats.com with FREE Shipping I think your friend would find a market for these seats in the UK and all of Europe, as I cannot find anything as good over here. I would think it would be something for her to look into, as little dogs are becoming more and more popular and especially with the wealthy, who would definitely buy these seats. You also need to buy a safety harness separately and I would like to know if anyone knows of a really comfortable and safe one. The RAC one got bad reviews. Thanks so much, once again, for the replies. Luv Yvonne xx |

| I bought the Snoozer from America last year. I think it cost me about £50 delivered. But that was when the exchange rate was a lot better. Its really good, though Millie was so nosey she wouldnt sit in it. She had to stand looking out the window all the time!

| Lookout I without drawer from Snoozer Dog and Cat Beds, Dog Bed Pillows, Pet Carriers, Dog Car Seats, Designer Dog Beds it was $71.99 but paid $119.62 inc shipping Quite ridiculous really, but I'd rather have spent the money on Millie than on myself, and boy did I know how to spend money on her!

Wow, but that is pricey! I would like to get one, but would have to save towards it, as I don't 'do' credit cards anymore! New Year's resolution! I am trying to be a lot more careful with money now - aren't we all!. I do want Tootsy to be safe in the car though, and this is why I am looking for something like this. If I find that I have to spend this kind of money to keep her safe, then I will save up for it and get it. The amount you paid was high due to the shipping - you paid almost £50 in shipping alone - just wish we could get them here more reasonably. Did you have to pay duty on top of this? Thanks so much for your help and for the info. - I really appreciate it. Luv Yvonne xx | |

I was lucky I didnt get any import duties added on to it, you need to factor that in too.

| Oh that's not nearly so bad! I missed the dollar sign - don't know how I did as it is quite clear!! As you say, the exchange rate is very different now and it would be far more costly. luv Yvonne xxx |
