| Has anyone tried the flea killer combs? Hello everyone, I am trying to find natural ways of controlling fleas on Tootsy and I saw these new Flea Zapper combs offered on the Internet, which you comb your dog or cat with and it kills the fleas that touch the comb. It uses batteries for the charge. I just wondered if anyone had tried them and if they worked well. Luv Yvonne |

I think these toxic flea serums that you put on dogs are really bad for them, but most of us have tried them. I heard recently that the toxins build up in their system over time!! I was given this link for all the natural remedies for fleas and ticks. The one recommended to me was the apple cider vinegar and water (half and half mixture) which you spray on them every day. They say that this works very well. I may try this next. I also think it would be good to use a shampoo with eucaluptus in it, as this is also a very good flea repellent I am told. If you are using a shampoo that you like, and don't want to change, then you could just add a few drops of 100% pure eucaluptus oil to the shampoo each time you bath Tino, or you could add it to his conditioner, if you use one. You can buy it from the health shops. If you use two forms of repellent like the eucaluptus in your shampoo and the garlic, it should work, or even the the apple cider vinegar and water mix as well. I think I am going to use the apple cider and water mix just before I take Tootsy for her walk and again when we get home. If I decide to try the flea comb, I will post my 'results' on the forum. Luv to you and Tino Yvonne xx Here's the link I was given: Chinaroad Lowchens of Australia - Ticks, fleas, bees, flies, snakes and other gremlins! And how to deal with them! | |
