There seems to be a number of members from Toronto and the surrounding cities - a few have expressed an interest in a meetup! Anyone else interested in meeting up with our furbabies?

Once we have an idea of who want to participate - we can all decide on a location (doesn't have to be IN Toronto).

Come on guys - Oscar needs some puppy interaction!

I am in. I saw a thread a while ago for a meetup in toronto and I joined it is a Yohoo group Toronto Yorkie Meetup there is the link to the thread.

We also have Cyn from Brampton. I read some postings and found out that miss.k , Alan (both from Mississauga) and aisha from Etobicoke were interested in a meetup - but it was in May lat year. Do you know how to contact them ?

Can people post the city they are from so that we can kindof reach a general consensus as to a location? As for me, I would prefer Mississauga (there's a HUGE park that I think could be great) and I know there is one other person in Mississauga - BUT, this may not work for everyone so I'd like to know if we could reach a general consensus on a location that is good for everyone. Is Mississauga central enough for the people who have posted and would like to attend? Or would you all prefer a location in Toronto?

Canadian Yorkie rescue is organizing a group... just go to canadianyorkshireterrierrescue.com and the details are there. It is for ALL yorkie folk , not just rescues.... I know some of those who will be hosting and attneding and you'll have FUN!! Tracy

I would gladly start a group but there is a fee involved and I am not sure if people would be willing to pay for a meetup. Right now, I'm looking for a location to have our "private" meetup with people who responded to the thread.

Hi: We have a meetup scheduled for 10 am Sunday September 17th in Toronto. We have began a Yahoo group to keep everyone posted about the meetups. We also require some other information for the safety of all humans and dogs attending.

You can go to www.canadianyorkshireterrierrescue.com (home page) and click on the link to the Yahoo group for Ontario Yorkie Meetup. We can then get the information out to everyone interested.

We would love to see lots of yorkies and their owners come out.
