| Yorkshires du Royaume in Quebec I was wondering if anyone has heard of this breeder. They are in Jonquiere, Quebec. I am researching them in every avenue possible. I couldn't find their name on Yorkie Talk search but was hoping someone in Eastern Canada may have heard of them. Thanks so much. |

I can ask some of my breeder friends here in Ontario - which I notice is where you come from. Why not look at Ontario breeders if I may be so bold as to ask?

| Thanks, Gema. I'm fine with an Ontario breeder. We just moved back to Ontario from Alberta a few months ago. I just happened upon this site and thought I would check them out. I've contacted Rigair, Durrer, and a few others. No one had puppies and a few didn't respond. I'm not in a hurry so I thought I'd check out a few that were further away. With show breeders, they are accessing their puppies for show potential and breeding potential before anything is offered for sale, which only makes sense. I am not sure yet if I want to show or not. It's something we are considering. So I'm taking my time and doing due diligence. Any information would be appreciated. |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Well you named two of the breeders I would recommend in Ontario - along with Betty Durrers partner whose name right now escapes Vicki Lyn of and for the life of me can't remember the Kennel name. Betty has semi retired from breeding - but Ilona I need to check with her but she is actively showing and breeding Yorkies. Ilona is from Rigair. I know Ilona has been pretty busy showing each wkend so - usually for breeders a good time to call is Tues to Wednesday - as Monday they still either might be at a show or travelling back and Thurs Friday and wkends travelling to shows and showing. Ilona will be showing for sure not this wkend but next - as we go to end of August show together. There are also some other good Ontario breeders on the Canadian Yorkshire Terrier club of Canada website.

[/QUOTE Actually this past wkend I met some folks from Alberta who just moved here. You don't happen to own a s**tszu? We were at Wasaga Beach for the day. It is very good to take your time if you are thinking of breeding. We have a lot of articles in the library about breeding. The good and the challenge and risks of breeding. \\ You will need to prove yourself to a breeder before they will even consider placing a female or male for breeding in your care. Why not come to the show in Pickering at the end of the month? Ilona will be there probably Tanya her partner and Irina who is a young breeder with a gal I really like the looks of. www.canuckdogs.com you can look up the event there and in say next Wednesday find the judging schedule of when the Yorkies are showing. I will be there showing my Black Russian - but am very open to helping you understand what is going on in the ring. As long as Blackies and YT are not showing at the same time. If you are interested just private message me with your contact info email and or cell phone and we can set something up

| Rigair said to contact them again this fall as they had no pups when I contacted them. The name Vicki Lyn sounds familiar, so she may well have been on the list. I would love to go to the Pickering show but unfortunately I have lupus and travelling in the sun doesn't work well for me, another reason why I am quite content to take my time and check fall puppies. My husband and I have really only discussed showing. Haven't even really touched on breeding yet. I grew up on a farm and we raised German Shepherds many years ago. It may be something to consider but I have a lot to learn before I make that decision. There's a lot involved, as with any animal, but for sure with little tiny ones. I guess, I just want a quality puppy from someone who really stands behind what breeding should be all about. It's so easy to fall prey to someone who is just out to spit out puppies and get as much for them as possible. I just was at the site of someone in the Toronto area that sells Morkies. A friend asked me to look. Not only were they claiming they were the only ones to specialize in Morkies, but they were asking $3000. a puppy because they were Morkies. So many of these sites. In Calgary as well. No, I'm not the lady with the Shih Tzu. They are wonderful little dogs as well. We rescued one many years ago. I still miss her. |

| Hello, i'm Yorkshires du Royaume owner I'm now translating my website in english, there's a lot of people in Ontario that ask for a puppy here. Indeed, you have very great breeders in Ontario, Betty Ann Durrer i highly recommended. Vicky Lyn has Durrer also, but i don't like the head of her dog like those of Betty. Thus, if you're interested to have a puppy from here, i have names i can give to you. I already shipped to USA and Manitoba. If you have facebook, go and see my facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/Living-Doll...09956/?fref=ts . There's plenty pictures. It's in french (because i'm in Quebec) but i can speak english Thus if you want a puppy soon, it won't be possible. I have a long waiting list. I'll need 6-9 months to have a puppy for you. I wish you good luck with your project xx

There should be contracts along with it in writing that this is a purebred and Canadian Kennel Club registration papers will be provided to you with the puppy ownership duly transferred to your name within 6 months after date of purchase at no extra cost to you the buyer. This gives you protection that if you do not get the registration certificate in your name, you can go to the Canadian Kennel Club to get action from them and they will go after the breeder. If you are buying a puppy or dog in Canada, registration should be Canadian Kennel Club that is the official bona fide club for Canada. Genetic health guarantees should also be provided. If you are buying from a show breeder, they have very nice puppies they sell for pet. They will usually have somewhere between 70 and 80% Championships in a 5 generation pedigree, some Canadian some American Champions some does will have both. | |

| Thanks so much for all your information and advice. Sarah, I have been in touch and have seen your gorgeous babies. I have also heard back from Rigair. Eventhough we are waiting, at least we are on our way. Ev |
