I see that a lot of cities in So Cal are on fire right now. I just wanted to say, I hope everyone is safe and that your homes aren't affected.

I pray that everyone gets through this safe and sound.

same here!! SO crazy-and the winds are outta control!!

my prayers go out to everyone.. hopefully it will be over soon!!

Tim(my bfs) work is RIGHT next to the irvine fires.. he said its horrible!! (it took him almost 2 hours to get to work this morning, when it normally only takes him about 30min!!)

we dont live too far from the orange-side of these fires(santiago) and i know a bunch of people who live ALL around the areas of the fire..

My heart's with everyone involved in ALL the fires and im continuing with my PRAYERS!!

fortunately i'm not affected... but my prayer goes out to the ones that are. i remember the last fire that destroyed thousands and thousands of homes. can't believe it's happening again

all you see outside were ashes... be safe everyone!

I'm in San Diego and have been watching the news nonstop to see if my neighborhood will be evacuated. It is soooo bad here...very scary. My car is all packed ready to go, but it's scary because it's coming from all angles it seems. Today, I left work to pick up my pups and bring them back to the office. If I go to work tomorrow, they're coming with me. Please keep San Diego (and all of SoCal) in your prayers...we need them.

I was there in 2003 surrounded by 3 fires. Its very scary. Now I have other nurse friends also being evacuated

My son was attending Pepperdine University back in 2003 and had to be evacuated. Has it affected the University this time?

My prayers go out to all in SoCal.

I didn't even know that San Diego was on fire yesterday, until I got a call from one of my sisters. My other sister is pregnant and already past a week over due. She's just been admitted to the hospital with the flu, and her neighborhood is being evacuated!!

OMG! I cannot believe what is going on here! My thoughts and prayers go out to anyone close to the fires. I try and imagine that feeling, having your car packed up, ready to evacuate, a pregnant lady in hospital, not knowing what she will go home to with her new Baba!
I must admit to being nervous as well here in Yorba Linda, with all the dry brush in these hills, which has caught fire so many times in the past. I am staying home with my babies today.... will not budge. The wind howling up here in the hills makes them so jittery. I keep peering around from my perch, scanning the hills around me for smoke.

What a dreadful time it is, in Southern Calif right now. I cannot fathom how anyone can deliberately cause this suffering..... so many homes have been lost south of us, in San Diego; the count just now was over 1,000!!!!

Meg, I hope your boyfriend can leave work early.... the roads must be a nightmare

, and I have a feeling the 241 will be closed, which makes the 55 simply terrible. I do know of a really direct route home if he needs it, going over surface streets, without the FWY. Phone or PM me if you need it. How is little Avie in the wind? It's howling like crazy up here in the hills, and my two girls are peeing on paper in the garage, instead of outside.
