| Looking for male Yorkie in L.A. or So. Calif. Hi, I'm relatively new to YT. Have only posted once - to say good-bye to Macho, my nearly 14 yr. old Yorkie. I'm now searching for a new Yorkie and I've called a number of breeders in and around the L.A. area. If anyone has any recommendations, I'd greatly appreciate it. Bunny244 YORKIES RULE! |

| Welcome to YT!!! I got my Sukoshi from worldkennelusa.com, and I've been very happy with her. Actually, I'll be getting another baby from her (Kelly) when Sukoshi's mom goes into heat again in late December (they're going to breed Sukoshi's dad with her mom for me, so Sukoshi can have a full biological sister!!!!!). I've recommended her to a few other people here, and so far, I think everyone's been happy with their babies (although please correct me if I'm wrong anyone)! Her parents actually do the breeding in Littlerock (up near Palmdale), but once they're old enough to be taken from the mom, their daughter, Kelly, sells them in LA. I did ask Kelly if people were allowed at their breeding facility though to see exactly how the mommies and daddies live, and she said that was no problem. I think my hubby and I will go up there before we get Sukoshi's sister...just to check it out in person. Anyway...let me know if you want more info for them... |

| LOL! Thanks! I sent you a PM, but don't rush it! If you don't see a baby you fall in love with right now, just be patient. You'll find the right one soon enough! |

| Hi to all.... I would like to say hello and thank you to Sukoshi's Mom....I discovered this website on Tuesday, Sept 25, 2007....And came across a post from Sukoshi's Mom referring www.worldkennelusa.com... I immediately checked it out, and was impressed...I got my 12 week old baby from Kelly the very next day! I saw her picture and fell in love with and so did my husband... We drove 100miles to get our baby... So again, thank you Sukoshi's Mom! |

Wow! I've always had pets, so it's crazy to think about someone just getting their first pet, but you've definitely done a good thing finding YT!!! The answer to anything you could possibly want to know about Yorkies is here!! Sukoshi's mom is Coco, and her dad is Black Diamond of California Wild (AKC champion from Argentina ). | Welcome to YT. I love the name Oni, because it's so different. I wish you the best of luck in finding your baby, but don't rush into it. It's a lifetime commitment.

| Ummmm, yes....I just found out that Miel is "honey" in Mexican spanish... And since the majority of spanish speakers in California is Mexican, it just seemed kinda weird to call her Oni and people look at me like I am crazy since to them (Mexicans), that's not a word in "their language".....I decided to call her Chanel...After my favorite designer anyway! P.S. She also wears Chanel No.5 perfume! heehee |

| You are soooooo incredibly right! I want to publicly apologize for my ignorance! I was busy online all night trying to educate myself! Well, first of all, I was misinformed! I do understand that there are different dialects within the spanish language.....A friend of mine suggested the name Oni to me...He's cuban... I am sooooooooo sorry! When I mentioned to quite a few Mexican spanish speakers about the word "Oni", they all would ask me did a native spanish speaker tell me this..I of course said yes, (since spanish is not my native language), and also shared that my friend was Cuban, the response was "Go figure or that figure".... So, I do also understand that there is conflict with Spanish speakers who are not Mexican not wanting to ever be mixed up nor confused with being Mexican for it's insulting....Well, I have no idea since I am not of those ethnic groups of people nor a spanish speaker... It's clear that there is a large population of Mexicans in California so therefore that's why I made the reference....I am however not in any shape, nor form racist! Again, I do humbly apologize for my being misinformed! Oni, by the way is "honey" in Yoruba! Which in fact is an African word! Quote:
