| Looking for a group near Fresno? I am new to this forum and a first time Yorkie owner. I would love to meet up with other owners for support and advice. Also to let Cosmo play with some other pups his size. Can anyone give me advice on how to locate other Yorkie owners in my area? |

| Hi, I live in Fresno and I have a four month old Yorkie girl named Kiwi. I don't know how much help I could be since I am a new mommy as well. But we would love to meet with some other Yorkies and their parents! There is a Yorkie meetup group at www.meetup.com. I haven't gone to one of the meetups yet since I was waiting until after she had all her shots.

I am outside of Fresno, but could drive where you are. My pup is 10 months old 7 lbs. I also would like to meet up with other Yorkie people in our area!

| Now have three yorkies..my own play group Hello I feel I should post something becuase my first post was when we just had gotten Cosmo and found this site...I stall haven't met very many yorkie owners but we now have 3 as of today. Our Cosmo is now almost two on March 13th and he is wonderful and very attached to me more than anyone in the home, he was hurt in December 2007 and almost died from a morphine patch that was put on by the emergency vet on Herndon, lucking $2,800 later and a plate in his leg, and no fur becuase he had to be shaved to get the medication from poisening him he recovered and is still with us. Two weeks before he was hurt we had made arrangements to adopt his half brother, we didn't bring home JJ as planned in December but he did come home with us in January once Cosmo was mended. Jaxon (JJ or Jabies) is adorable and follows my husband everywhere but as he says is more attached to me. Cosmo wasn't thrilled at first but they are now little brothers. Today for my birthday we got our 3rd and last little man...he is from a separate family and our boys have not warmed up yet but they are both older now so I am sure it will take time. We have yet to name him but are thinking Avila's Champion Rocko the Runt or Avila's Prized Benjamin Bentley. He is a little lover and has been great with us for the past 10 hours. As far as dog parks I don't know of any here in town. I have found at Woodward park there are too many big dogs. I love our vet Family Pet Hospital on Clovis and Sunnyside, esp. after he saved my Cosmo, let me make payments on the balance and came in early to help us. I also love Cheryl's Pet Boutique on Clovis and Sunnyside there clothes and supplies are much cheaper than Health Mutts or PetsMart and the owners are super friendly. However, Health Mutts is great and has a great groomer and the cookies are wonderful. My yorkies are skinny so treats once in a while are a fun treat for them. I am super busy during gthe school year but if anyone would like to meet in the summer I am off and wouldlove to bring "My 3 sons" lol

| The only dog park I've ever seen is the one at Woodward park, but it's always big dogs that I see there.... I'll have to ask around and see if any of my friends know of any |
