| Protest AB 1634 Calling all Californians, if you can protest on Wensday (7/11) at the state capital against the law AB 1634 would be great, they are suppose to vote on this bill on Wensday... I was at a Yorkie meetup in California held by YTCNC (Yorkshire Terrier Club of Northern California) and it was announced there for all yorkie owners to go and protest AGAINST this law.. One lady there even joked and said, "I have bumper stickers that say neuter Bob Barker", LOL.. Even A.K.C opposes this bill (http://www.dogchannel.com/dog-news/a...uter-bill.aspx) This law is just to make a profit, they should NOT make us do anything, it should be an option... Before anyone starts pointing fingers I DO have my female's spayed, BUT it was my OPTION, not forced upon me... Please check out these sites: http://saveourdogs.net/ http://www.akc.org/canine_legislatio...ion_center.cfm http://ab1634.com/

| AB 1634 pulled by Bill initiator. But, look for it to reappear in January, so our guard should not be let down and we should continue the fight....See details on AKC.org.

| YES, YES, YES the bill was pulled , because they knew it was not going to be approved, BUT like Mardelin said we cannot let our guards down because it will re-appear next year, BUT they said something about revising it and ONLY enforcing it on people that are irresponsible and let their dogs roam free in the steets See cbs13 http://cbs13.com/topstories/local_story_192122015.html

No Longer a Member | That's the thing...they may have good intentions, but what if someone's dog gets out, they get a $500 fine and the dog impounded. Some people won't pay it and just let them put the dog to sleep. Sad, but that is the way it is--so many people out there are irresponsible, and a fine like this won't make them responsible, it will end up getting the dog put down. |

| What they should do with a law is to mandate more Low Cost Spay/Neuter clinics to make it more affordable to low income households. I firmly believe the problem has more to do with the income bracket and cultral differences especially in So.Cal. Many people from Mexico and South America and Asia who immigrated to the U.S. come from a culture where animals are just that animals that don't need medical intervention. I sometimes wonder how many are even vaccinated. They need to be educated and given a Low Cost resource for vaccinations and spay/neuter. Untill that happens, the shelters will get more unwanted pets as more and more immigrants comes into our State.
