| Oklahoma Groomers? My name is Rosie and I live in Norman. My puppy in about 2 weeks will be old enough to go to the groomers. I dont know any good yorkie groomers. If anyone knows any good groomers I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you

| I dont know if you have a petco or a petsmart in your area but you might want to check them out. I work for the petco grooming salon in my area. |

| Well I only have a Petsmart down here (the nearest PetCo is 45 minutes away). My dad takes his dog to them but he has a VERY LARGE lab, and I just get worried that they won't do well on his long hair ( I want to try to keep his hair long...) Are they pretty good with that?

| Most grooming shops have thier regular small dogs with longer coats that they "groom" and thier larger short hair dogs that they just bathe. Try giving them a call and talking to them a bit and see how you feel about them over the phone. Most groomers will talk to you over the phone first to answer any questions that you may have. Also if you have a pic of what you would like the coat to look like that would be great. I love when people bring in pics of what they like because it makes my job easier. |

| Groomer in Norman You guys started this a while ago, but I just found it - the groomer that I use in Norman is at Rose Rock Veterinary Hospital on 24th and Hemphill (I think that's the name - its where you turn to go to Walmart/Lowes/etc). The groomer there used to have Yorkies herself so I think she knows what she is doing. She cut Brody's hair too short last time, but I still like her. SHe is good with the dogs and it seems like a pretty clean facility. Brody's going in on Tuesday to get his bangs cut so they stop falling in his face. We tried a bow, but he's not too fond of it. | I actually ended up finding a wonderful groomer up in OKC. She just started to work out of her store, but she's been grooming at home for forever. She leases her place from my boss, so it's right next door to where I work. She is WONDERFUL, and so cheap! She only charges $18 when they are an adult, and they do everything! She was so good with him too. I was working when I took him in, and she brought him up to me. He looked fantastic! I think she uses CC systems too. He smelled like the Ice on Ice! Love her to death! I would recommend her to anyone!

Try just a band first to get them used to having something in their hair and then slowly work the bow in. They can't rip out the band, and they will get used to it to where the bow seems like nothing! If you need rubber bands I will bring you some of the latex ones to the meetup!
