| Where should I go in Northern CA? My Haruka and I probably will be traveling to Sacramento, CA for my birthday. I am debating if we should stay in MA or travel to CA. I am thinking about going to San Francisco, San Jose, Lake Taho.. something like that.. but this is not definite. I just wanted people's ideas where I could go with Haruka... I will be carrying her around everywhere I go (most likely) so.. any suggestions? It doesn't have to be those three towns.. but somewhere that we can drive from Sacramento within 3 hours or so.

| There's not a whole lot to do in San Jose...Winchester Mystery House, Santana Row, Santa Cruz is a 30 min drive from San Jose, that's a fun little area and the weather should still be fine in September. Tahoe is BEAUTIFUL! San Francisco is a great place to visit -- and there is a lot to do there. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | If you're a city girl, San Francisco is a must-see. If you're a beach babe, you can drive along highway 1 to the north of San Francisco. If you're a mountain mama, go to Tahoe.

| I probably will go this Wednesday and come back on Monday... Do you guys know any stores (for dog or can bring dog)... ? I am taking Haruka with me everywhere... So any fun place with a dog? I heard that SF is one of the dog friendly cities. I have been there with Guinness, but I bet this will be totally different experience with my own baby.

| Sac If you go to SF through Marin on 101 stop at the Village shopping center. It is an outdoor shopping center and you can take your pup into any of the stores. I take my Kobe every time I go shopping there! SF is also pretty dog friendly, if you have your pup in a purse you should be good in any of the shopping areas. Union Street is fun and has cute outdoor places to eat or get coffee and you can bring your baby into most stores. Napa is fun too and also extemely dog friendly. There is a fun doggy store called the Vineyard Dog right downtown Napa. Some of the wineries even allow dogs in the tasting rooms and at Mumm they sell dog souveniers, that is where I buy Kobe's Napa lavendar dog shampoo. I live in Sac and there isn't much that I have that is fun to do with him and it is so HOT right now! There are some Yorkie meetups though so if you know what dates you are going to be here I can tell you where they are. There are some nice places to go walking though and Tahoe is only 2 hours which is beautiful! |

| San Francisco I highly recommend San Francisco. The city is dog friendly in many places. Also check out the www.meetup.com for the yorkie meetups that take place once a month. What a great way for you and your dog. Also, the city is beautiful..... |
