| Dog Friendly Beaches in Socal? I know you can take your dog on the beach at Pismo. Long Beach is supposed to have a dog friendly area. Does anyone know of any other spots? Last year we spent some time around Morro Bay. I sure would appreciate any help locating a beach close enough for a day trip from Santa Clarita. Thanks in advance!! |

| I would NEVER go to the dog beach in Huntington!!! It's horrible. It's full of huge pit bulls and VERY agressive dogs (and people who don't care). Long Beach is better and Malibu is the best.

| That's odd... I saw no pit bulls. I saw 3 chocolate labs, some poodle mixes, these beautiful white dogs that I have no idea what breed they were, a cute little dachshund and some very pleasant people. Everyone was really nice, asked before they would pet my roommate's pom and even shared toys! I had a great experience.

| Thank you for posting. I will wait for a weekend trip to Malibu! As long as we have a place to park, why not! |

| We just tried out Dog Beach in Huntington Beach on Sunday and loved it. The dogs can run free and play in the water. We enjoyed it so much we are going again this week and weekend. Everyone is social and dog well behaved. |

| We took Uni to Coronado Island in San Diego. We didn't even know it was a dog ok beach, we just went, and it turns out it was one! It was after 5 so there were no more lifeguards anyway. hee hee.
