Looking for a safe place in LA to board my dog for a week :( I'm leaving for the east coast for 8 days on Friday and I unfortunately cannot take Alfie with me . I have a reservation to board him at the vets which I hate to do bc he's boarded up in a cage, but it's the only option that I know is safe for Alfie and affordable for me. Does anyone know of an safe, nice, and affordable place to board their pups in the West LA area? Thanks!

Yorkie Yakker | I have not found a place to board my dogs in West LA too. Six years ago when I took my chihuahua to board, he came out skinnier than before. Do you have a friend that can house sit and dog sit? We have been doing that with our pups.

If you wanna drive to Santa Clarita my friend is an AKC Yorkie Breeder. She will watch your puppy if shes not watching someone else. I leave my dog there and she calls me with daily updates. Its perfect!!

There's nobody I would want to watch my dog. Most everyone works long hours or simply not ones I would trust with my pup lol. I'm so protective of my baby! Thanks for the suggestion about your friend. Santa Clarita is a little far from me. I'll probably just leave him at the vet unless someone can think of something last minute. Thanks!

I leave my babies at the yorkie camp. It is located in Upland, a little further but totally worth the drive. it is ran by a couple who devote their lives to yorkies. they have 5 of their own. They have a house in back of theirs no cages. My 2 stayed there for 8 days with no issues. let me know if you would like their info.

oooh I would love their info (yorkie camp in Upland) for next time. I dropped him off at the vet on Friday and I have been missing and worrying about him terribly ever since. I'm being told that I may have to stay here longer than I thought to interview more(I'm looking for a new job in the New England area). Thanks a bunch!
