| My yorkie is lost... please find BearBear! our puppy (BearBear) has been gone for almost a month... my boyfriend and i left him with a breeder who provides boarding service in Woodland Hills while we were in asia for vacation. we were told that the puppy has been missing since Jan 9 when we got back to Los Angeles. we are heartbroken... and still hoping to find him... we have done everything that we can to find him (given that the breeder's house is 20 miles away from our home)- we have posted over 500 fliers, sent 10,000 postcards, visited local vets/ shelters, created a website (www.findbearbear.com), and even hired a K9 search dog to track his trail... any thoughts? |

| they offered us a new puppy... and that's it all we want is our puppy back tho... it's been really hard for us to accept the fact that he has been gone... we were so excited to go pick him up after a 16-hour flight back to LA from Hong Kong, but were so devastated to be told that he'd been missing for 4 days (by the time we got back to LA) once we got off the plane.... | I am so very sorry to hear your little BearBear is missing. I did go to your web site, and it's good that he is micro-chipped. You seem to be doing everything I can think of. Someone left a link for you to try. I pray you will be reunited with your baby. Sending you some hugs too.

That way news of BearBear reaches a huge audience. A reporter might be interested in telling this story because you intrusted a breeder - someone doing business with dogs. This would make a story that would bring viewers/readers in! I'm sorry to put it this way, but in dealing with the media you need to give them a reason to do your story. My friend and her husband, did sue the person, but that did not bring their beloved yorkie back. I pray for a better result for you

| one of my biggest concerns is... i've been getting calls from multiple people saying that they've seen BearBear with a hispanic lady... and im starting to have my posters and postcards to get translated into spanish over the weekend... not sure if local news could reach the lady if english is not her native language but im willing to try everything to get him back... |

When contacting reporters - look through your paper, pay attn to who on the News does these type of stories - whether its consumer fraud or human interest. Then contact those reporters directly. It is hard if you get someone who says, oh I'd love to do the story, but its not my beat. If someone tells you that, ask for a name, phone number, email address for a reporter who would be likely to cover something along this line. You may have to be pretty persistent. I will pray that the right person will tell your story

| I too am very sorry to hear about your furbaby, I can't imagine how hard it must be. I looked on your web site and saw that he was microchipped, and I recently heard that some shelters and kennels can verify if a pet in their care is microchipped. Have you tired calling the shelters in the area where the breeder is? I will keep you in my prayers, and hope you have a happy reunion with your furbaby very soon. |
