| Looking for a reputable yorkie breeder in bay area (oakland) Hello to all dog lovers out there! My wife and I recently lost Coco (yorkie mix 2 yrs old female) because of an irresponsible, speeding, hit-and-run driver. My wife cried for two days straight. The first couple of weeks were difficult for all of us. After four months I think my wife is ready to accept another yorkie (mix or not), but of course not as a replacement. Coco will always be in our heart. Can anyone recommend a reputable yorkie breeder 75 miles within the Bay Area, we live in Oakland. Thanks. Pat |

| Good luck in your search, we have quite a few Bay Area members, hopefully they can refer you to a good breeder. So sorry to hear about the loss of your Coco! |

| Hi Cocolee, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I'm sure you guys gave Coco the best life possible when she was alive. I understand it's difficult to get over, as I myself have lost my first Yorkie in a hit-and-run accident. The driver never stopped and I don't think he knew he even hit my dog. You are not alone. As for your question about a breeder in the Bay Area. I'm also from Oakland, but I really have no local recommendations. I purchased Otis (current dog) from a breeder in Orange County because at the time I could find no reputable breeders in the Bay Area. Otis came with a two-year health guarantee and microchipping, and I have nothing but good things to say about the breeder. Her name is Linda Bush of Bejaze Yorkies. http://www.bejazeyorkies.com/ I also have a friend who purchased a Yorkie from Bejaze who's is totally in love with her dog, too! Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with. |

| I'm so sorry to hear about Coco. Coco would be happy that you plan to add a new companion to the family! I am from the Bay Area - I had a very hard time finding a breeder. I know that if you do a search, you will find a good breeder in Brentwood, CA. I actually ended up finding my little guy in a newspaper or look under Pets>Yahoo. Good luck. Again, I am sorry about your recent loss.
