| Groomer in Fresno? I have been taking Cosmo to PetsMart and they always do a great job. However, they are so expensive. I get the whole package (of course) which includes the bast, haircut, teeth cleaning, ear cleaning, and nail trim and it runs me $60.00. I had an awful experience the 1st time when I took him to the groomer at my vet, so since PetsMart does a great job I am afraid to leave however now that I have 2 little guys my bank account in screaming for help. Does anyone have a groomer in Fresno they love?

| Have you ever been to Health Mutts, the pet boutique on Champlain and Perrin? They offer grooming and I have been taking Kiwi there. They offer appointments, which means that there is a time slot reserved for your baby, so you don't drop them off in the morning and leave them there for who knows how long. I do the full groom which includes the shampoo and conditioner, whatever shaving/trimming you want, toothbrushing, and nail trim. It is $38 plus tip. You can always add stuff on if you want, many times I get Kiwi the Blueberry Facial, but you don't have to do that. They hand blow dry, no cage drying, so I like dropping her off there. They call you after about an hour to an hour and a half to pick your baby up. They also have great shopping, including Juicy Couture stuff and really cute t-shirts and sweaters.

| Thank you. You know I had been in there once when I bought my first Yorkie (I had him for less than 24 hours) I stopped on the way home and bought him a custom leash, collar, etc. Well, the next morning I took him back to the breeder becuase he was deathly ill. On the way home from returning him to the breeder I stopped to return the items and she would only give me store credit. I paid cash and explained the situation and that I had no other pets and she still would only offer store credit. Even though she was very nice, I was a little "put off" with the non-return policy so when I bought Cosmo I starting shopping at the Pet Boutique on Herndon and Clovis Avenue which has darling clothes, etc. They do not have grooming. Based on your experience I think I will try Health Mutts again. Esp. since they have experience grooming yorkies, the price is great, and like I said she is nice. Thanks for the breakdown on the price and service, I too like the blow dry. I have to pay extra at PetsMart for that which is I think should be standard. I am going to make an appt today. Maybe I will run into you Bandie

| Yeah, well the whole store credit thing would kinda upset me, too. I hope you like the grooming, I think it is a pretty good deal. I can't believe Petsmart charges more for a blow dry! At least you could give it a try and see how you like it. I found it helpful to bring in a picture of what I wanted Kiwi to look like. I am also very clear about the directions and they write everything down. So far they have always listened to me. Also make sure you get on the email list, almost every month I get a coupon from them by email for various things like a free facial or 15% off a groom. In the summer they do bath only days where they will bathe the dog for like $10 and you can walk them outside to dry. It is nice for in between full groomings. Where is the boutique on Clovis and Herndon? Which corner? I don't think I have been to that one. I am always on the lookout for new places to shop! Edited to add...I have seen several yorkies there, some with the puppy cut and some with the long hair. So I think they have experience with both. And we probably will run into each other some time!

| I am going to make my next appointment there. I also always take a picture, and this time becuase Cosmo had spots that were shaved becuase of his accident Bev at PetsMart groomed him too short becuase she was trying to blend everything in. Which I understand but he looks so skinny now! Cheryl's Pet Boutique is on the right hand corner of Herndon and Clovis. There is a Burger King on the corner and they are in that lot by the Long's Drugs. I just posted a whole story under groomer/vet reviews. They are so great, plus they also give you rebates. They keep a record of all purchases and give credits when you spend a certain amount. They also send e-mails with deals. Plus they carry a lot more becuase their space is so large. Check it out, you won't be disappointed!
