Hi Everyone It's Been Awhile Just checking in to say Hello to everyone. Well I have had My little Ginger for almost 6 months now. She has officially taken over the house now. I really don't know how we survived without her in our lives. She is such a joy. We have our routine down pretty well now. She decided to sleep in bed now that it is winter. She went into heat yesterday, so she is not her usual self today. Is there anything special I should be doing for her? How long should I expect this to last? She is OK, I just wounder if I could do something for her. Any help or advise would be appreciated. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and may you and your Yorkies have a wonderful new Year

I'm so glad everything has worked out so well. Well, I remember when I had a Boston who came into heat a couple of times. At first it was just dripping blood spots then when it was pale in color, her vulva was swollen. That's the time they are ready for breeding. I had her bred with a little CH. and I'll NEVER go thru breeding another dog again. I'd advise a diaper inside, and if she isn't pad trained, I'd put a harness and leash on her to take her out potty. You just never know what can be lurking about and you don't want her hurt.

Thank You Thank you for your advise. It's been storming here so she hasn't been out for a couple of days. She is trying though. Tell me about your breeding experience, I would love to hear it.
