| Boarding my baby- Sacramento CA area Hey everyone!! I'm in a complete pickle! I am going to NY the day after x-mas until the 4th and I can't figure out what to do with my baby. I have never boarded him and when I HAVE left him while I travelled he was always with my BF (with whom we (me and my doggie) live with) BUT now my BF and I are both going to NY. I'm not sure if I can bring my Oliver because we are staying with my BF very old grandmother and I don't want to add any addition stress. Does anyone know of a WONDERFUL boarding place in the Sacramento (preferrably Davis/Woodland) area? Or would you recommend a petsitter in the area? Background on my baby: just turned 2 and is 100% litterbox trained and very well behaved... although when left alone for too long he gets really hyper and needs 10 minutes of vigorous fetch Anyone live in Davis?!?!? Thank you for your time!!!!

And a price estimate (per night) would be great!! I really don't want to leave him ANYWHERE... but if I can get a great place than I won't worry as much

| Sorry it took so long -- my sis just sent me the website. Not sure if it'll work, as I don't think they're open over the holidays. But you could at least call and find out. My sister has used them a few times with her miniature schnauzers, and her boss has used them quite a bit. The dogs seemed happy. As far as pet sitters -- when I have to leave my two, my groomer keeps them. They love going over there, and they get lots of attention. I don't worry about them when I have to leave them. Hope this helps -- and good luck! |

| We don't live in Sacramento, but just north of Incline Village, Lake Tahoe. We have two Yorkies (male and female - litter mates, two and a half years old). My husband and I just started a Yorkie Care service, where we will take a couple of furbabies and watch them when their moms and dads are on vacation. We decided to do this because we know how stressful it is for the furbabies and the moms and dads to enjoy a vacation when separated from each other. We had to go to a family wedding and couldn't take our two with us because of difficulties flying home from the mid-west. It was a nightmare to find anyone who would take care of the babies, and then it was less than ideal. Anyway, we have a big house, and are totally crazy about Yorkies (that's how we met - I was the downstairs neighbor and we puppy sat each other's dogs when we went to work- oh yea, that was 32 years ago). If you can't find a suitable situation, we would be willing to meet you some place to pick up your furbaby. We are a 45 min drive from Truckee, and two hours from Sacramento. We are home over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. I work days, and my husband works nights, so someone is home. If interested, send me an email.
