Icon2 SoCal YT Meet-up – SUNDAY, November 11

Hello all SoCal YT members (or members who will be in the area at the time of the meet-up)! We are having our next SoCal YT meet-up SUNDAY, November 11th. After putting it to a vote in the Yahoo group, we had more people available for a meet-up on Sunday vs. Saturday this month, so please note the next meet-up will take place on the 2nd SUNDAY of the month this time. However, we don't have a location yet ! After throwing around several ideas in the Yahoo group, we are wondering if anyone here who has not joined the Yahoo group would be able to make it if we planned the meet-up more inland, so the people in San Bernardino and Riverside counties wouldn't have as long of a drive. So far, we don't have any inland people planning on coming, but we decided it was better to ask on YT since we know not everyone has opted to join the Yahoo group. SO...any preferences from those of you who may be able to join us for the next meet-up? Do we have any IE/San Bernardino/Riverside people that would be able to come if we move it closer to you guys this time? What about other locations? In the meantime, I've included the details we have so far below, so pencil us onto your calendars :

Who: EVERYONE!!!!
What: Monthly Meet-up (the 2nd weekend of every month)
When: Sunday, November 11 (Time: TBD)
Where: TBD

We'd love to have a HUGE turnout, so please add your input as to what location you'd be able to attend! Thanks!

Well helloooooo girls! We're gonna have to decide on a location soon! Otherwise we will have Mama's and Yorkies wanderig the erm.... desert until 2008. Lisa, you mentioned on the Yahoo Group that our past 3 locations were pretty great, so maybe we should choose from one of those, if it is convenient for everybody. I also posted, like you, that I would be willing to carpool with anyone driving from the S or E direction as I will have lots of room if I take the SUV. They could drive to my house and Mango and I will take them from there. Mango is a really great navigator, 'cause as y'all know, Mama was absent the day that The Great Navigator handed out a sense of direction.

I'm look SO forward to seeing everyone again, and to meeting those I had missed at the August meetup.

Lauren

I was planning a local meetup for the same day at 2:00pm at a park near me. If interested, you're all welcomed to join us there. This is what I posted at my community's website:
"Let's do this!

How about
Sunday, November 11 at 2:00pm
In the field at the south end of Providence Ranch Park--south of the smaller parking lot. If there is a game, we can set up anywhere else.

I have one x-pen, we'll need at least one more to hook together. Does anyone else have one they can bring?

Bring a lawn chair, a camera, something to drink, and a sack lunch if you want.

Let me know if this time works for everyone. If not, we can change it to something else.

Please reply in this thread if you can make it!"
If so, I can post address/directions to Providence Ranch park...

(we have 4 yorkies from my community...)

Hi Y'all
I was just checking the Yahoo Group, and we don't seem to have anyone attending from San Berno'/Riverside counties? If there are a number of you from there, and you don't want to drive too far, we could do it at the English Springs Park n Chino Hills (last month's location).

If on the other hand no-one from that area can make it, we will probably go for the Yorba Regional Park, where we had the meetup in June. ( We've had 3 really fabulous locations so far, so we decided to go with one of those.)

Getting soooo excited to see y'all
Lauren

Yay Janelle!! Mango and I finally get to meet you! I can't wait.

I'm going to scrounge around my 'puter files and look for that original Google overlay I had posted in June, showing everyone the location of the entry, and which parking lot we should meet up at, as the park is pretty huge.
Have a great day!
Lauren

I'm in Riverside Co. and I am pretty sure we cannot make it that day. Unfortunately, my dh who commutes to Camarillo every week, leaves really super early on Monday mornings (usually 2-3 am), so he doesn't want to go anywhere out of town on Sundays. Hopefully next month!

Oh boo...I am still hoping to meet you one of these months . Hopefully it will work out soon!!! We were hoping if we tried planning something more toward those of you in Riverside/San Bernardino area that you may be able to make it. Like Lauren said though, if it's just going to be those of us in the OC area, we'll just do it at Yorba Regional where it's more convenient for the majority. Hopefully those coming from LA can meet at my house or Lauren's house so we can car pool if that's easier for anyone (and the same goes when we have meet-ups in the West (beach cities). Anyone inland is always welcome to meet at my house, and I'll drive West from there).

Ditto that. What a pity! The park I mentioned above in Chino Hills, would probably be more convenient for you location-wise. If you can make it next month, would that be a decent, not too far drive for you from Riverside/San Berno' area?

Let me take a look at a map and then I'll let you know. I may just come with a friend (who's in love with Max's sister) and leave my hubby at home. Hmmm....maybe I'll talk to her about going to THIS one this month! I forgot she moved back here, LOL. So, she's pretty familiar with most of the LA areas anyhow. I'll def. get back to you! I can't wait to meet you all and all the cute little Yorkies that I know so well, just by seeing their pictures and hearing about them here .

Yay! Corinne, it will be so great to see you and your terrific trio again; Mango and I missed you at the last meetup!
Hugs,
Lauren
