Sorry about your experience.....it's all too common one in our breed.

Before I misunderstand your comments. Who is this comment to?

people that have had even worse issues than you through Seaside Yorkies.

I hope you are not talking about the death of my yorkie?

If you are.....you state in your profile that you are a dog trainer... if that is the case..then it's time to chose another profession. Because an "elongated or short soft palate" is a condition common in English Bulldogs NOT YORKIES!!

If you were referring to someone elses comments and I misunderstood you I apologize.

Ines3185lyorkie-

YES, my comment was directed to someone else. The original poster of this thread.

Yes, I am a dog trainer, no there is no need to "consider" changing professions and yes....applogy accepted.

What happened to both you and this other individual is ridiculous. The breeder, while she may have "cute" Yorkies from god knows where, isn't showing very good ethics at a minimum.
I'm sorry you went through hell and lost your precious furbaby so untimely. I too know how that is, just not under your same circumstances.

I truely hope this woman gets her cumupance.

Can you clear up about "what is common in the yorkie breed"? If you mean scams you are right on but on health issues. Not! That is why I stated that you should change profession.

Thank God that you have not been scammed or wronged.

Default Please accept my sincere apologies...

YORKIEK9TRAINER:

I really stuck my foot in my mouth. I know realize that you were talking about someone else. I am just so sentitive about my Nikki's death, it's been only two weeks, that I assumed (you know what the saying is) it was about her death and jumped down your throat...

Please ignore my insentitive comments.

Hope we can put it behind us.

Understood, and of course.

I really am sorry about the loss of your puppy. And I'd like to get ahold of the woman that sold you the puppy myself.

I have never been scammed, you're right. And the odds of that ever happening are almost non-existent when it comes to dogs. However, when I said "I'm sorry about your experience........it's all too common in our breed." I meant that Yorkies are a dime a dozen, there are TONS of pups to choose from and unfortunantely there are {insert vulgar word here} people that are more than okay w/ doing sells to others like this woman/man did to you and not willing to help when things go wrong w/ their beloved pet from a congenital defect no less.
So yeah.....I'd love to have a "chat" w/ this person. You're not the first one and unfortunantely not the last it seems that is going to get an adorable/affectionate puppy that will most likely have issues or a more greiveous condition from this person.

Omg Seaside Yorkies

I bought my babies from this breeder in April of 07'. If I would have read everything yal' had put in this site b4 I bought them....things would be different. When u search on the net for n e thing about this breeder you can't find n e thing negative...that is until now. Her website says "paper trained" I tried news"paper" and it didn't work...little did I know that she meant wee wee pads and they still have trouble. The dogs are supposed to be ckc registered "Continental Kennel Club" I got the registration papers for baby girl like 3 months after I bought her and I am still waiting for baby boy's papers. I called CKC to file a complaint but I have to register him myself in order to file one. I called and talked to Monique's husband (because he said she was out of the picture )about the situation and he said that if he had time he would look up the information. I email they don't answer...we call they don't return our calls. She was so nice...
The vitamins that they recommend they loved but when the second batch came threw they hated them and when I called NuVet they sent me samples that made my puppies throw up . They said since they are all natural they change every month...needless to say I took them off those vitamins. I am sorry for all the people that have gone through worse things...I wish there was a way this can come up loud and clear when they search for her website.

Default you get what you pay for

If you can't afford a Yorkie, don't buy one. I'm so tired of people calling me and saying they "just want a low end Yorkie for under $1000."

I think that they're are alot of people who can afford a yorkie, but are being taken advantage of with their hard earned money by situations as I posted in the video above. This isn't about "if" you can afford it...it is about the aftermath in some cases.

I AM GOING TO ASSUME THAT YOU ARE EITHER ONE OF THE "SEASIDE YORKIES CLAN" OR VERY MISINFORMED..

I bought my Nikki from Seaside for $1700.00 (which is not low-end) and spent about $3000.00 and up on treatments, surgery and specialists. I didn't have much knowledge and purchased from them without realizing the RED FLAGS in their website. Their dogs are not from champion lines. I researched after her death and bought from a reputable breeder- Tsa-La-GI. I have a very healthy little girl.

My high end bitch cost me $1,980 after shipping.
There is little need for "pet" Yorkshire Terriers to be sold for close to that amount. PERIOD.

If your hard work and money has been put into your bitch and sire, be it competition, whatever...and the best they are producing are dogs that they themselves aren't breeding quality, then perhaps it is time you stop putting said time/money into these dogs if your purpose is to try and make back money with their progeny. That isn't how the "game" of breeding goes. You can put the time and money into your dogs, but you wouldn't be wise to assume that doing so will make you a milionare or help make back on expenses (significantly) on the progeny. You put the money/time into your dogs because you love the breed and you love the sport.

Charge high, that's fine...but I think anyone that produces a puppy should price fairly according to what the dog at hand is actually capable of being/doing. A pet is valuable indeed. BUT it's those that have the healthy dogs that can be no more than pets that should be charging the lower prices so those that then go to petstores and puppymills get them rather than the unhealthy, mass produced and poorly bred pups.

Make sense?

I'm so I have been looking for a breeder in Florida. That's where I live, I really want to see the puppy before I give the money. Every time I would search fro breeders Seaside Yorkie, would be one of the first sites that comes up. We did to stop that lady!

I have already found a breeder and my puppy is now 3 1/2 weeks old. Can't wait to get him in my hands for good.
