| How long had baby been "in delivery"?....I hope you stimulated the baby vigiorously for 5-10 minutes following birth, in order to give this enfant a chance at survival....cleared the mouth and throat and then rubbed and rubbed vigorously, turning baby over and over, head down, to provide the fighting chance this little soul needed? I have done this for many years, and I have never had a baby that was alive one minute during the birthing process, then get born, and succumb immediately and not be stimulated back to life....I have had them alive, get stuck in the birth canal, andf after a prolonged length of time until I could get to my vet, have the baby die in the birth canal, and as the baby was actually delivered, and had been lifeless at least 45 minutes, I was not able to resuscitate the baby after 10-15 minutes of stimulating......I have never had a live enfant one minute, that is born "dead" the next minute, that could not be resuscitated effectively. I am sorry for the loss of this/your unfortunate little soul who never had a chance at life......this is the heart breaking side of breeding.....and it will break your heart every time your momma looks and looks for her little baby, unable to find it....THAT will KILL you. |
