YT 500 Club Member | Atlanta Area Groomer I recently had a bad experience at my groomer. I've been going to her for years now. She was reasonable and did a good job. This last time she had upped her rates by $10. per dog, did not start on my two until 2 hours after their appt. time, then didn't do a very good job (looked like a rush job to me). Maybe I should give her another chance but these are my babies. I need to find a good groomer that comes to the house. Anyone out there know of someone in the N. Atlanta area?

| Did you talk to her personally about it? I mean if you have been going to her for years- you would think she would want any kind of feedback from you. Maybe try talking to her about it, tell her the concerns you had with the last grooming apt. Maybe she was having a bad day, super busy or something like that. Also bring up the price difference, maybe since you have been a long time customer she can give you some sort of discount?? You never know. Then depending on the answer you get you can look around.

One time my groomer cut Jax on the sensitive 'flap' area by his back legs. I noticed it the next day, and was very upset. But I decided to email her about it. I emailed her the pics, and said I was upset, etc, he also had a horrible haircut that time around which was just odd for her.. his face looked terrible. I had been using her for a year with great success. So I also told her I was unhappy with the cut. She apologized and gave me my next groom for free. She ended up doing a great job again and again. Musta just been an off day or something.... But I'm really glad I gave her another chance because I really love her (she's a mobile groomer) and I know she truly loves animals. And she always does exactly what I ask if I give her specifics. I started getting too 'lax' and just assuming she knew what I wanted and then I did not like the way his bangs started turning out, so I finally just told her and gave her a detailed description and she did exactly as I said. I think it's all about communication and trust!
