| There is someone in the Alvin area who keeps "rescuing" sickly yorkie puppies....many with shunts. I cannot give more details than that, but there is something really wrong imho with working with breeders and brokers and their sick pups over and over. These puppies are not just dropping from the sky. Wonder if it is the same people. They won't say where they are getting these puppies from.

Yes! He was my son's high school Ag teacher....I have never been to their home, and I have no first hand knowledge of their "breeding business', but I can say he is a very nice man and was always very kind and helpful to the Ag boys and all their animals.

Re: Fancy Pups We purchased our Graysee from Fancy Pups in Feb., 2009. We drove from The Woodlands to Manvel to see the two pups that were available at that time. The parents of the pups weren't on-site, and we didn't know much of anything regarding what to watch for in selecting our puppy. So, we just chose the one that paid the most attention to us. The "breeder/brokers" DID take us on a short tour of their home and kennels, although there were very few dogs on-site at that time. The home and attached kennels were very clean. They told us that they used to breed Yorkies, but now are just "brokers" for other breeders. Of course, being ignorant of the red flags, we just assumed they were reputable. As I have stated in past posts, we are very fortunate to have received a very healthy, happy Yorkie, who has no health or behavioral issues whatever. However, I did email Fancy Pups fairly recently to inquire about Graysee's parents and whether we could contact the owners whose names were on her registration. I never received any reply from Fancy Pups, after sending a second request. However, when I posed as a new prospective buyer, I received an immediate reply. I guess that should tell you something. Again, I feel very fortunate to have a made a good purchase in Graysee, as I now see it could have turned out much differently.

Re: Fancy pups Just an update: my stepdaughter texted me last Friday to tell me that she just brought home a Yorkie puppy. She said the pup is 8 weeks old, and that they purchased her from Fancy Pups! I called her and asked about the purchase; she explained everything to me that WE had been told in 2009 when we bought our Graysee from Fancy Pups. I haven't heard back about the vet visit that's supposed to take place today, to have the new pup checked out. I'm praying that she will be given a clean bill of health, just as our Graysee was, and still is. I wanted to share the following email exchange that I had with Fancy Pups a couple years ago: From:Jon Rascoe <jonrascoe@yahoo.com> http://mail.yimg.com/nq/cg/a/images/spacer_1.gif To:<cwm-kme@sbcglobal.net> No, we do not breed yorkies on the premises. We sell puppies for other individuals who we have known for a long time. We do offer a written health guarantee with each of our pups, so that you can take the pup to your own vet. If your vet finds any problem, we will be glad to refund your full purchase price of the pup. AKC does not recognize "teacup" yorkies, but that does not mean that they do not exist. Usually "teacup" just refers to a yorkie that will be less than 4 lbs when it is full grown. Many AKC yorkies fit into this category. Usually pups that are 12 weeks old and weigh less than 1 lb. 8 oz. are considered "teacups". We have some absolutely beautiful yorkie puppies that will be ready to go home with you starting on Friday, Dec. 10. We will have their pictures up on our website hopefully by tomorrow evening (Thursday, Dec. 9) by 6 p.m. Along with their pictures, we will also have their weigh, birthday, and price. Usually the males cost from $450 to $1500, and the female will cost from $650 to $1500. The prices range greatly, according to the weight and overall appearance of the pup. Usually the very smallest ones are the most expensive. These pups are very delicate and we don’t recommend these for small children. Please check our website www.fancypups.com for more information about our pups. We try to show our pups from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. daily. Since this is our home, we would greatly appreciate your calling before you drive out here. We want to be sure and be here when you arrive. You can find directions to our home on our website www.fancypups.com. Just look on the “Contact Us” page for a Google map. These will be the last pups that we will have before Christmas, so you might want to consider purchasing one before they are all gone. We would be glad to take a deposit ($200) on a puppy on the phone by credit card so that we can hold the pup for you until you can get out here. However, we do not take deposits until after the pictures are on our website (After 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening). Then we know which pup you are placing a deposit on. If you get out here and decide you would like to change pups after making a deposit on another one, we will gladly let you change your mind. Sorry, but we are unable to hold a pup until Christmas for you. You advertise AKC/ACA registration, and that you occasionally have "teacup" Yorkies, but the AKC does not recognize the term "Teacup Yorkie". Do you get your "teacups" from other sources? ChasW

Re: fancy pups I have just joined this as moving back to Houston and wanted to find a Yorkie breeder! I am appalled at what I have been reading about fancy pups, we bought our dog Will from them back in 2006, and did not know that they were brokers and not breeders! We moved to OZ and had Will shipped as there was know way we could leave. Him as he was a Big part of our family! He started getting I'll and was having infections in his eyes and swelling in his face and body, then became very lethargic! The vet ran tests and it turned out that Will had A form of Leukemia which was very aggressive so much so he was diagnosed on the Saturday and we had to have him put to sleep by the following Thursday 2011! as he had lost so much weight could hardly walk and his immune system was shutting down, it was so traumatic for our family. I contacted the owner of fancy pups to ask if there had been any other incidents of this or any illnesses in their dogs and he told me he had not heard of this and all the dogs were healthy, but on reading this he probably does not know where our dog came from so off course he was going to say this! I will not buy another Yorkie from him after reading these posts and would encourage people to stay clear! Our baby will always be missed, and always be with us.

Beware Fancy pups- Pearland area Texas We purchased our Bella a few days before Christmas 2012. After searching for a female Yorkie and trying to avoid scams, we too were fooled. I spoke w/ mr Rascoe and he offered a discount because she was the last puppy available. He said I needed to respond quickly because the offer would not last long, meaning there were several people inquiring about the puppy. Their web page states akc/aca, and I assumed it had two forms of pedigree. Wrong! I sent my hubby to pick the puppy up because they said that they could not hold for Christmas because they were heading out of town for Christmas parties, (probably on another puppy run). He picked her up on Friday and we also were heading out of town so the papers were left at home and not observed until Sunday. The papers stated ACA registered not AKC and after researching ACA is about the same as having no papers at all! I took Bella to the vet and he said he had never heard of ACA and asked how attached we were to the puppy. Nothing was wrong w/ our Bella but he said after looking over the paperwork, that is breeder should not be trusted. Our shot records were just a printed paper stating when the shots were given( nothing that could be verified), so the vet recommended starting the set of three shots completely over. There is no way I would send her back to these brokers. Her paper state the parents are from two different states w/breeders names listed but no way to get in touch with, probably fake. Bella is so terrified of people, so under socialized. She loves my other Yorkie, but terrified of people. The situation is just so sad. I pray that one day she will learn to trust us, and love us as much as we love her. Please do not purchase from these brokers, they need to be put out of business!!

Fancypups.com - beware Today 03:31 PM - permalink ABBY16026 I wish I had known about The Yorkie Forum last year! My husband and I lost our previous Yorkie, Daisy, after 13 amazing and wonderful years. It wasn't long before we began to notice how empty our house was and how lonely we were. So, we started our search for a new baby. After what we thought was a good search, reviewing websites talking to breeders, and looking at all the satisfied Yorkie parents on Facebook accounts, we decided on FancyPups. We purchased a Yorkie from FancyPups in November of 2013. Our dear little girl, Abby is almost 7 months old. The first six months of Abby’s life have been rough, to say the least. She had extreme aggression issues, tummy problems, and displayed a high level of anxiety. We had to take her to a dog behavioral specialist due to her aggression, anxiety, and inability to connect with us. Abby did not answer to her name until she was 5 months old. Her Veterinarian bills for her tummy have been astronomical and behavioral training sessions have been numerous. As she has grown, her bite and her mouth are so far off (once her permanent teeth started coming in) that she has eating issues. So, I decided to do some further research on FancyPups. What I discovered was disgusting! I started with the signature on Abby’s registration papers, because it was not the owners of FancyPups. The person’s name on the registration revealed she was the owner of a puppy mill in Oklahoma. The reports showed deplorable conditions for 79 females, 54 males, and many, many puppies. Several complaints have been filed over the years against the puppy mill Abby came from. Our Vet said this accounts for a lot of her issues; poor digestion, poor socialization skills, and genetic deficiencies. We have owned 3 Yorkies in our lifetime and have never, ever had issues with our puppies like this. It has been a long road and very expensive to turn our baby around. We have spent upwards of $3000.00 on vet bills, dog behavior specialists, and training classes in six months. Abby is finally beginning to show some loving qualities and with continued therapy is starting to relax and calm down. We have a long way to go, but we now see a light at the end of the tunnel. FancyPups OUTRIGHT LIED to US, even when I point blank asked if Abby came from a puppy mill. FancyPups ARE BROKERS, NOT BREEDERS!!!! If this post can help educate even one person about people out there like FancyPups, we feel the time spent to write this letter was worth it!!
