| Just a warning about a breeder in OK I bought my little zoey girl from a breeder in OK his name was Larry Jackson. He was very good to answer all my question ect. And I felt good about his breeding program. Little did I realize how misleading he was in every aspect! Zoey I bought when she was 5 months. I was told she would be in the 5-7 pound range. When I got her at 5 months she was 2.8 pounds! And the vet said she may only get a few ounces bigger than she is now. She came to me with a HORRIBLE ear infection where puss and junk was coming out of her ears, and smelled HORRIBLE! She also had a very serious eye infection that is still being treated and has had some sight loss in her eye because of the infection. She had 3 open sores on her body that are very slowly healing and her over all condition was just a mess! This is how she was when I picked her up from the airport. She was terrified and wouldn't come out from under the couch for about a week. and still to this day is timid. has not been socialized at all which I was told she was very socialized! Another thing is that she was VERY inbred! I got her pedigree papers about 10 days after I purchased her from AKC and was shocked at what I saw! I was told that she was very well bred and nothing was ever mentioned to me about this kind of inbreeding! I just wanted to warn everyone to be careful with this breeder. It may have been a 1 time thing but to send a dog in this condition to anyone is horrible to me! And for this breeders vet to sign the health certificate to fly to me is very concerning to me also! I was told that she was in excellent health before she was shipped and obviously that was not the case!! I love my little Zoey but am very disappointed on this breeder and his practices as a very irresponsible person! |

| I'm sorry that your Zoey was so ill upon her arrival to you......That is why I will not purchase a pup without being able to go to the home myself. With all the deception and bad breeders out there it has to be that way. .... It looks like Zoey will be on the small side, are you upset with that? Did you want a larger yorkie?......It is good that the things you found about her health are getting fixed. I hope that's the end of her problems for you.... Sorry to hear she may have suffered some eye sight loss.....Did you contact the breeder and demand some reimbursement for all your vet bills? Good luck with your little one.....

| I am very happy with Zoey and not upset by her size. I just wanted a larger yorkie, I am terrified of Zoey getting hurt because of how tiny she is. She barely goes up to my ankle! I did contact the breeder and I told him about all the problems. His response was "Her kennel mates don't have any infection problems" And "Her eye infection was probably cause by me, I accidentally mixed the wrong combination together to make a shampoo for her and it got in her eyes!" I asked for reimbursement for Vet bills and he refused. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I am just happy that she is ok now, I for a while because of how small she was and all her health problems thought she wouldn't make it through all the treatment. |

| I'm sorry to hear your baby was sent to you in such horrible shape. As for her size though she may surprise you and have a growth spurt. She could still get to be close to 4LBs maybe more, you just can't tell with these little ones. With the illnesses she had, she may have just been off a little. Give her good food and she may change very quickly right before you eyes. But even if she doesn't get quite as large as you were hopping for, she can still be strong and healthy. My little Sofia, we thought would be bigger in size as well and she just stayed small, but she has the biggest heart and spirit I have ever seen in a dog. |

| It makes me sick to my stomach! Hopefully he is one of the ones that will be affected by the new law that just passed in Oklahoma! I sure hope so! I pray that your little Zoey will be ok and am thankful that you love her enough to get her the care she needs. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | unfortunatly there's so many just like him out there - all the best with her and hopefully in time she'll come out of her shell I hate the way these so called 'breeders' treat dogs - these are the kinds of places that need to be wiped off the face of the earth |

| This puppymill is DISGUSTING! He doesn't even have the "sense" to clean up his dogs before posting them for sale. The dogs are standing in urine and feces, their nails are over grown, and they don't look like they've ever had a bath or been groomed! He has 19 dogs posted Not only is he trying to ruin the Yorkie breed but now he's going after the Parti's.

| Larry Jackson I have 3 females from him. One i got at 5 mo old, the other two as puppies. ALL of the dogs came in needing a bath and their nails clipped. the 5 o old pup was nails were VERY long. she too was only 2 1/2 lbs and is still only 3 lbs. she was a bit skinny as well.( though he told me she would not get more than 4 lbs) THough she still doesnt eat well like she should. she ALSO had conjunctivitse in one eye but it was VERY minimal. though the other two pups i got from him were in good health and good weight. You can tell by the pictures that the pups are not in ideal contition, but to his defense he IS showing you the condition the pups are kept in . unlike some of these other people who put cute pictures and the pups are in awful conditions. Overall i was actually happy with my dogs from him as none have any health problems and are great temperment. ( the 5 mo old dog cam in not socailized) and still takes time to warm up to people. ( two out of the 3 dogs have wirey hair thats not very silky) one have very silky hair.I dont feel that his place is as bad as some but would not agree with conditions. I am interested on the "inbreeding" your talking about. Any one else who has gotten a pup from him i would love to hear feed back too. If you are getting a pup online you are taking a chance of buying froma puppy mill. PROS of this breeder ONLY BReeds Yorkies VERY honest about what you are getting Have not had any Major health issues Cons of this breeder CONDITIONS - NOT THE BEST WILL NEED BATHS WHEN GET OFF THE PLANE I WOULD NOT TRUST THE VET HE USES< they sent me a health certificate for a male yorkie rather than a female... when i called to talk to the doctor " he was on vacation" feel free to contact me with any info or any questions. |
