YT 1000 Club Member | It doesn't reaaly make any since to share her way of making money. Some people are crazy! I would think she wouldn't want to appear as a broker and it is very 'cookoo' to tell someone that you basically double or triple the price of a dog you could have gotten for way less. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Hulbert is in Cherokee County and is only about 15 minutes from where I live. It's the same county that Glenda Beavers (Tsa La Gi) lives in, in fact probably not far from her too. Sometimes I'm embarrassed and ashamed to live in this part of the country with all of the mills and totally unethical byb's. I've almost changed my username location for this very reason. To make matters even worse I live in a community with Amish residents too, and they have their monthly dog auction within 5 miles of my home. I went once and cried for two days over the poor dogs. If so many didn't buy from these types of breeders and petstores, their market would collapse. Then they would have to rely on other means of making a living like, God forbid, A REAL JOB!!

It broke my heart seeing corgis go for $1.00. I couldn't make myself think about where they might be going. The sale ads were disgusting talking about "this one being a proven breeder" or "has had 4 litters but still able to breed" and it would be a 5 year old bitch. You don't even want to know about the caliber of people in the bidding area......let's just say "trash"....sitting around shoving in frito chili pie and dougnuts, all the while bidding pennies on a life. For the love of God, when a $3 lunch costs more than a dog's life something is terribly wrong.

| Se Gail Just Called She just asked why I was talking about her on yorkie talk ! HELLO she referred me to Starmye Halpain in Oklahoma THAT IS why the posts are here. SE GAIL~ Since you read this let me recapture our conversation. You stated that you did not have what I was looking for but that "YOUR GOOD FRIEND DID" and she lived in Oklahoma which was close to me and would cut you out as the middle man. You then said if you do not have what others are looking for you immediately send your business to her. I proceeded to tell you that I had spoke with Starmye and she did not have pictures of the parents.. I also told you that Starmye could have cared less than to be on the phone or answer any questions.. You proceeded to say that she is in business making money and this was a growing business and I did not need to be so demanding in wanting to talk to her. There were plenty in line and selling the pup was no problem.... Im sorry , I wash my hands ... please do not call me and yes I did hang upon you when you did call and to be honest whatever message you left I did not hear as I immediately hit delete.... No problems here just if you are associated with a BYB and Puppy Mill I feel the world should know and YOU ARE! You told me yourself.... Subject closed

| Unfortunately dog/puppy auctions are as common as going to a Flea Market on a Saturday morning. As a matter of fact at least one dog auction is held at an Amish owned Flea Market in Ohio. In Pennsylvania "Beauiful Dutch Country" (as they advertise it) that part of the country is LOADED with the "Oh so religious" Amish. The Amish are the BIGGEST culprits of Puppymills. Just tour the country side and look beyond the beauty and into the large barns that house thousands of breeding, uncared for dogs. It's illegal in PA to have puppy auctions and once a month the Amish travel across the line to Ohio to sell their "Product." I say product because this is what the Amish consider a dog or puppy. It's as common as selling breeding and slaughtering for food. What is sad it that many do not realize that not only are their puppymills in exsitance but many Parot Mills too which are just as bad if not worse. So please just when not buying a puppy from a petstore do not buy a bird or ANY form of live animal or anything for that matter from any of these stores that sell LIVE animals. You may pay a little more but buy your food, toys, supplies etc. from a pet store that clearly does not support the selling of animals. Even buying a can of food puts the $$ into the pocket for these stores to stay open. Elaine |

| I copied this: Robert & Starmye Halpain, Hulbert, Oklahoma, USDA# 73-A-1408 - (6/11/2003) Disposal and drainage systems must minimize vermin and pest infestation, insects, odors, and disease hazard. All drains must be properly constructed, installed, and maintained. West kennel south end dog waste running out on the ground under the kennel. Drain pipes broke loose from wash down upper and lower outside runs on west side of kennel .Real strong odor on the south end of kennel .This is a disease hazard and insect odor problems. - (10/10/2002) Outdoor facilities for dogs or cats must include one or more shelter structures that are accessible to each animal in each outdoor facility. East kennel pole barn 4 dog pens 13 dogs these dogs have no houses at this time. - (9/27/2000) Animal Inventory - Adult breeding dogs - 93, Puppies 25.
