Anne, I am so happy that this ordeal is finally over for you. I know the grief that this caused you.

Wow I just read this post. I have a strange story to add to this. I bought a pup form Brazil. DO NOT BUY from www.puppyclick.com It was years ago. Now that I look back I was really dumb.

I email back and forth with this guy and like the look of the parents and the sire had a nice pedigree. My baby came with kennel cough ( really bad ), bloody stool etc. I called Marcelo ,and he said give the pup some cough med. I never heard back from him again. No registration papers as promised and would not reply to any of my emails, I even called him in Brazil , but nobody spoke english. I had sold a pup to a gal that had a internet friend on MSN that was from Brazil or had a friend in Brazil. Her name was Deana and she emailed me and said she could try to help me get my papers. Thats was her. Same picture and website. She seemed very nice. Deana then talked to her friend in Brazil and she called Marcelo ( my scam breeder) in Brazil. The gal in Brazil said she would try to help me cause she felt bad that I got taken from a person in Brazil, and didn't want a breeders in brazil to get a bad name. She said she would call on her dime and it wouldn't cost me anything, she just wanted to try to help. Anyway, my breeder/vet said he had ADHA and didn't ever get papers on that pup. Then he told her he was on meds now for his ADHD, and I could have a male pup for free , I just had to send the shipping of $280 and he would send me a new pup. Fat chance I would ever send him another dime.

I guess it's a small world......

Wow that is horrible. I know Dee from another site I was on over at MSN groups. She seemed like a nice person but you just never know. I do know that she brokers pups in addition to what she breeds. She actually helped Lulu and Zoey's breeder to place a pup in Canada.

Sorry that things went down like that. Amazing how money can corrupt people.

My what a story of yours also.. and yes it is a small world.. I have all kinds of nasty grams she put on my facebook. on msn chat.. and via emails.. in case any one ever needs proof of what I went through.. I guess I was not quite as dumb as she thought I was...
but it is this kind of person who makes it tough to trust breeder where ever they are..thanks for you post..anne

Well she sure gets around, works for the government in canada and does a huge part of her dealings and emails from work.. and she sells and has classified all over Canada.. and she is young to have money corrupt her like this.. what will she be like in a few years..
she made a comment to me that she does not care who she pisses off.. her job it not to please people like me..

thanks kathy.. I know you know exactly what I went through.. I did have an amazing support system with friends. and then on Yt... and I thank them all so much..making this thread was extremely hard for me to do..

Ok I remember on the MSN site she said that she was a student. She was living in Canada with her adoptive mother and sisters. Seems there was a history of abuse with her family and she was removed from the home (that is a bit fuzzy there). She seemed genuinely like a nice young lady...always speaking of her love for the breed and talking about her breeder/mentor and how she loves the dark brazilians. I had a little interaction with her just enjoyed watching pictures. Definitely the person she portrayed there is not what I hear about her now. Never ever heard that she worked for the govt. Very sad for someone to have that much hate and anger in them that they would treat a person like that.

I think that breeding dogs in Brazil is big business. I can envision lots of puppy mills running around there. The very first male I ever purchased was on recommendation by a friend at work who we were both looking for a pup at the same time...I didn't know as much as I know now. This person is also a member on here. Well that pup was from Brazil. Took me a bit to get his papers and when I asked the person that sold him to me (at first she was saying she has a good friend and she co-breeds with him) if I could get some pictures of his mom and dad so I could make a baby album...I got a lot of hemming and hawing. Eventually I was given a picture of a beautiful female but she definitley looked a lot bigger than the person told me she was when she was selling me the pup. Either way it was a lesson learned because I realized a lot more after that. I realized that she was bsing about the whole breeder thing and actually was just a broker.

I recently checked her site because I like to see pups but I noticed she gets lots of pups and she is now actually selling females/males to certain homes where they can keep the dog and she gets to breed them.

Thank god for YT...definitely helps you to put things in perspective for when you buy a new family member.

And you're SO right, unfortunately...

It's so sad... Almost everyone wants to breed their dogs just to get and sell pups, it's a hobby thing and a way to make money... I get so mad because when I tell ppl (buyers) to not buy pups from sellers who don't test their dogs, that have more than 2 different breeds of dogs... and all the stuff we usually talk about here on YT - They say I'm neurotic and I better stop coming to this site

Yeah, but it is frustrating to just waste time and saliva w/ most ppl I talk to... I invited several ppl (even wrote down YT's site) but I guess it was worthless...

I am very upset reading this thread. I know Dee. Not in person but I have known her thru the internet for about a year. There are always 2 sides to a story and only one side is represented here. I am not saying anything about MyPresiousPups, right or wrong. I am upset with this group jumping on Dee without hearing her side of the story. It has been my experience in 54 years of life that most problems begin with a misunderstanding that gets blown out of proportion on both sides as time goes on.

I have such a high regard for all the information passed around on this site but I have to say that sometimes the people on this site jump on a person like a pack of dogs would do.

I try very hard not to pass judgement on a person until I know more about the situation. I try very hard not to cast the first stone. Sylvia
