Temperature drop to 97.6 - puppies coming???? Mindee's temperature dropped to 97.9 at 8:30 last night and stayed there through the night. Temperature started going back up at about 6:00 this morning. This is day 58. She's in her whelping box, ruffling around the blanket some. She has decided she doesn't want to eat at all. I took her out to potty this morning she had a long pee and a poo. I came in and had a quick shower and by the time I got out she had 2 big pees on the floor. She had x-rays done Wednesday and showed 2 puppies. I'm thinking these little puppies are probably going to come sometime today am a little nervous about her being on 58 days. Any thoughts and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. Mindee is very restless right now, licking herself and nesting. Won't let me out of her sight. Puppies in her are very quite this morning compared to yesterday. I'm keeping a close eye on her watching for any signs I've read about, hoping and praying all goes well with her and her babies. Very nervous about her being early (58 days) but trying to stay calm.

| most, not all, will shake, pant, run around like they are looking for something (actually trying to find a place to deliver). this action can go on for hours. i have only heard of very few not acting this way. i think you are still somewhat early but i would still keep a close eye on her. the temp is not always accurate. my last litter, her temp was down for 5 days before she delivered. another litter, the temp never went down. the temp can go down and in 12 hours spike back up. you probably have a few more days to go and we hope she holds out until then.

Thank you, I would like to see her hold out for a few days also. Maybe I would be able to get a couple more hours sleep each night LOL. She's had 3 poops since this morning and won't touch a bite of anything. Her breathing is a little heavier (but not panting) and she went a little crazy in her whelping box, tearing it up and giving a few funny sounding growls while she was doing it. It made me laugh, she is such a little doll. So guess I'll just continue reading all the great posts here while I watch and wait. Thanks again

OKAY, Mindee is in labour!!! She is trembling some and about every 5 minutes she tries to push. She is laying in her box and gives a couple little pushes then resting. I am TRYING to stay calm but it's not easy. Wish us luck!!! And any help is more than welcome.

Hi, not much change in Mindee. She is pushing now and then and panting some but still taking rest periods. She decided she would have some vanilla ice cream. Will update as things progress.
