Puppy Watch-Shayley is Close to Having her Pups! - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Her temp had been in the "low" range for a few days now. This afternoon, she has been having a few contractions (not consistent), the first one I noticed was at 2:26pm and at least six more since then. They are not consistent or very strong yet but they are noticeable. She will not leave my side and is very sleepy. I can't get her to do anything but if I get up she follows me around

Her eyes are glossy and she just stares at me and is laying streched out...Here is a pic of her now on my bed...& I did get her up for that last one

I love my pretty girl

Anyway, I'm officially on puppy watch.

The first day her and my Coco tied was 7/1/07...and now I'm just waiting...

OMGosh....I actually know nothing about birthing lil ones. But she sooooo looks like "Alright, Already...I want to have these babies"....Sending prayers your way for a quick, safe, delivery for mom and healthy babies....

prayers for a safe and easy whelping. I know you will be alright and it's still early CA time if you do have to call a vet. i will check back later to see about you.

Nothing yet

...contractions slowed up a lot and now she is sleeping next to me. She is having a contraction as I'm typing

...It will prob be a long night for me, gotta keep an eye on my Shayley. I'll kepp you all updated. I'm very excited!!! & nervous...

Why do these dogs have to have babies in the middle of the night lol..I want to follow the puppy watch but my eyes are getting heavy!! Its so much fun to hear about the progress!! Good luck!!

We are still up here

First Shayley was in the bed with us, cuddling as usual...I could barely sleep, up every 10 mins or so and she kept changing positions with each one her contractions

(still not too strong). So, when she left my arms at 3 a.m. I knew I had to get her to the box and so I am now "camping out" in my comforter by her box and I am high on anticipation

, hehe. She seems fine after some intense digging and cleaning herself, she is back to sleep...(yawn)
