| Neutering, should I or should'nt I? Hey you gals with Experience does Neutering a Male yorkie (2 1/2 yrs) Alter his personality any whats so ever? My husband is against it he believes it will change his personality and if it does Not will it stop his Marking? Thanks Dian Buckwheat |

| I have heard if they havent been breed before that it can help with the marking, but I have also heard from some that it never helped them. Sorry im no help. |

| I can't answer for male dogs, but it did not change the personality of my male cats at all. I guess the bigger question here is the reason for neutering. If you don't intend to breed, IMHO, it is the responsible thing to do.

| Miko didn't really change at all. If anything, he became sweeter, but I don't think that's possible, as he has always been sweet

| I don't plan on breeding him anymore But, if no one can be sure if his personality will change then I won't have him neutered, he wont have any females to breed, therefore I will do whats best for him, |

| I have had several male dogs neutered and it does not change their personality at all. If anything, it makes them less likely to run off after a scent and it should help with marking. I think it makes them better pets. Martha |
