| What do you think of this breeder? A friend of mine is thinking of getting a puppy from this breeder. She wants me to help her pick a puppy. Does this look like a good breeder? How do you think the puppies look? What about payment/shipping info? The person she spoke to on the phone told her that she does not ship the puppies and she must come pick up the puppy, which is what she intends to do. Any comments? Thanks http://farmersyorkies.com/contact.html

A few red flags....alot of puppies, basis her price on size she predicts they will be......smaller the pup the bigger the price. If it were me I'd look elsewhere. Where in MO are you located I know a couple of great breeders

| Hi, thanks. We are in the St. Louis area. She is looking for a pet only, preferably female but price is a factor, she does not want to pay $1200 & up. I think she is hoping to find a little girl in the $700 - $800 range. I'm not sure if she is concerned about AKC registration (I don't think so) but I want to help her to find a healthy well socialized baby girl. Thanks

| i personally would keep looking not because of papers or price but because i would be scared of what she might get in terms of a yorkie. i remeber that i didnt feel comfortable about purchasing and looked else where, but it was about a year or more ago and i cant remember |

I'm in Scott City about 1 hour- 40 mins South of St Louis. I have 3 litters due in August. I have a waiting list, several are spoken for and I plan to keep 1-2 out of the breedings. She can look at my site if she would like. www.freewebs.com/macsyorkies Or call if she has any question 573-264-3304. | |

| I know she is anxious to get one. I am hoping that she will hold off from jumping at the first puppy that fits her price range. yorkiegirl, your yorkies are beautiful. I would love to have one myself, but my limit is 2. Do you think you will have females in her price range? I don't think the drive will be an issue for her.

| To add to the good advice Mardelin already mentioned, here are a few things I noticed: * I would be cautious of any breeder that classifies their dogs by size as anything other than "standard." In this case, tiny, small, standard and large. * They not only allow their pups to leave at only 8 weeks, they ship them at 8 weeks too! |

| Another thing I found a little odd. I spoke briefely to this breeder and asked her if the parents were shown on her website. She told me NO they didn't have room on the website to show the parents pictures. Seemed a little strange to me.

| I dont see pictures of the parents or pedigrees listed even tho it states that all puppies now come with a pedigree. Did they not come with one before? In my opinion if I look at a website I want to see the puppy, I want it to tell me who the parents are, show their picture and show the pedigree. |

| I find it very strange that they don't have any pictures of the parents. They also have so many puppies avaliable right now as well as two of their personal pets (maltese) that they are selling because "they didn't have time for them." Why did they get the two if they didn't have time? Most breeders are proud to show pictures of their adults on their website.
