| Tails and dew claws I have gotten different answers on this....the puppies are 3 days old right now when should we do their tails and dew claws?

| normally it's between three and five days but I always feel sorry for the tiny little guys and do mine on the fourth day. |

| Generally 3rd day, but is also dependent on the size of the pup, if it is on the smaller side, I'll wait till the 5th day.

| I prefer to do it as close to day 3 as possible to avoid the connection of nerves and pain receptors. If I had a really small pup or one that was struggling I'd definitely wait until the issue was resolved.
