| Stud service? Hello Would someone kindly give me info on the do's and don'ts of stud service. HOw much do you charge? Where it is done? and Is it true you have to leave your male dog with the female for a week or so in order to mait? Your expertise would be very much appreciated to this newby. Maria |

| Maria - it looks like you have a lot to learn. First of all you take the female to the male's home. The female can be more agressive if done the other way. Before you breed, please make sure he is to the yorkie standard and worthy of breeding, as well as any female he is bred to. Have you had him tested to make sure he is in good physical condition and not carring any problems he may pass on? Have you also had someone go over him to judge is worthyness? It is a lot of resposibility. Looks like you should also get some books on the topic, talk to others, and learn as much as you can. You came to a good place to get started, but you have a long ways to go, before breeding. Best of luck! T. |
