| What to do??? Okay need a answer kinda fast, I am a first time breed. I have ask many question along Maddy pregnancy and though the birth. So here is another since you all have helped me so much in these last few weeks (very appreciated) I have a lady coming tomorrow to look at a little girl I have meet with her before I even knew Maddy was pregnant so for I have a really great feeling about her she is in he upper 40's maybe lower 50's no other pet or no children in the home. So I really hope she wants her . But here is my question if she does want her do I take a deposit? What first time question might be good to ask? And do you all think 700.00 is too much?

I'm sure other people who have bred and sold puppies will have much more to offer, but I thought I'd try to help a little. Good luck! | |

| i wouldn't go any lower than 700. for a girl. it depends on the going rate in your area. my girls sell for 1,500. Also, i remember helping you before but don't remember how old the puppies are. i wouldn't take a deposit until it is six weeks old and then make it clear to her that it is non refundable unless something happens on your end. then, of course, you will refund it. i think i remember we helped you with your contract. make sure she is ok with that also and don't let her handle the puppy unless it has had it's first shots. |

| $700 seems a little low, but then again I live in California where Yorkies pretty much start at $1500-ish. Questions to ask: Who will be taking care of the dog? Where will you keep the puppy during the day, and during the night? Is the puppy going to be left alone for the majority of the day? Have you owned a dog before? Do you have children/other pets? Do you have allergies? Will the dog be an indoor or outdoor dog? Have you ever given a pet away (to the shelter) or had to return it to the breeder? If so, why? Do you intend to breed the dog? Will you spay/neuter the dog? Those are some good ones, there might be a few more good ones that other members have! |

| Here are pics Thanks everyone. You have been alot of help, keep it coming..The puppies are very healthy the vet said the were one of the healthiest litter he has seen in awhile that was when they were 3 days old they go again this Friday for there dewormer. Yes they are purebred and will have papers and I am going to have the vet checked before they go to a new home They will have 3 rounds of there puppy shots if I remember correctly they are not leaving my home till they are 10 weeks old unless one wouldn't be healthy enough.(but in this litter I don't see that.) And when I ask for a non-refundable deposit how much do I ask for if the price is 700.00??? Thanks again. In the pics I don't know who is who b/c my hubby took the pics and there not the greatest..lol I will try to get more they are 2 weeks and 4 days old in the pics

| Congrats, becareful not to over worm the pups or start to young. My wormer says 2 wks, 4 wks, 6 wks but I would never do it that much or that young. I worm the first time at 4 wks. You could also bring in a stool sample at 4-5 weeks to see if there is any worms to treat. Also many vets are saying now that first shots should be given later than 6 wks. I usually start at 7wks and then 3 wks after that to 3 times total. Try not to worm and give shots at the same time to over load their systems. I do not use Lepto or corona in my puppy shots. I have heard from many people that yorkies can have a a hard time with the lepto and corona doesn't work. Lots of new info about when to start vaccines on the internet and about lepto and corona for yorkies. My deposits are non-refundable. $700 is low in my opinion for a female if they are nice , but it's really what you feel comfortable with. I price my pups at 7 wks after their vet check. Then I will show them to people and take deposits. Pups change so much that I like to wait until they are aprox 7 wks and have been weaned so mom doesn't have a fit with new people holding her pups. |
