| Aggressive dog I don't know if this is where this should be posted. I have a female yorkie she is like almost 2 years also have a female pekingese she is like 1 1/2, then i have a male yorkie he is only 4 months. I think my female yorkie is coming in heat. She keeps attacking the pekingese she attachs and it is hard to pull them apart. Is this normal for a dog to act like this since she is coming in? |

| I wonder if it actually has anything to do with her going into heat or maybe she is just a more agressive dog. I have a 7 yr. old spayed yorkie (Pebbles)who just loves to start fights with my other females. In fact, we just had to break her apart from our younger unspayed girl and discovered her eye had been popped out in the melee! We rushed her to the vet, luckily he was able to fix it and sent her home with medications. Didn't stop her, the minute we brought her home, she was ready to start another fight going! My other 3 girls get along just fine and the two that aren't fixed never act agressive when they are in heat. We have decided that we will just have to keep her apart from the others or if that doesn't work out, may have to find her a home where there are no other female dogs! She gets along fine with the boys. Good luck with yours, hopefully it will pass! Martha |
