I'll have to try again in July.

I am so bummed!!!

Thanks for asking.

I'll just keep looking at all the babies on here. Plus, my friend down the road just had a litter of two, so I have been there every day getting my "puppy fix"!!

Confused Lil Tiffany Is Due Any Day!!!

My little Tiffany was 3.4 lbs before she tied on March 11th with my daughters Chihuahua - Ricky. This was (at first) devastating to my husband and I because Tiffany was only 10 months old at the time. I was really worried. . .sick, but then my vet made me feel a LOT better about the situation. He said that she should be just fine and that the Chihuahua puppies are usually very small too and that everything should be just fine. I took her back in at 45 days as suggested by the vet - to get an Xray to find out how many pups. This proved useless due to the fact that the puppies were so small - they couldn't get a very good Xray and just cost me $249.

Tiffany is 60 days and counting now and has not started nesting or panting. She competely stopped eating her Eukanuba dry food very early on. Since the whole dog food scare - I looked online for a good homemade dog food recipe and found one that consisted of boiled chicken (or cooked hamburger - but I use the chicken), white or brown rice, oatmeal, and carrots. She LOVED this for awhile. . .starting picking out the chicken and eating only that. So, I just fed her boiled chicken. Then she smelled our steak one evening and just HAD to have that!!! So, now I feed her chicken/steak or a combo of both now. MAN SHE IS A PICKY LITTLE (cute/sweet) BITCH!!!

I was feeling MUCH BETTER and even getting EXCITED about the litter - the Vet felt 3 maybe 4 (very very early on) and I now feel 3 (???) 2 FOR SURE!! The Vet Tech she thinks 3 as well. BUT. . .I READ ON HERE LAST NIGHT THAT SHE COULD DIE AT AN EARLY AGE FROM GIVING BIRTH SO YOUNG AND I AM TOTALLY FREAKED OUT!!!!! I LOVE THIS LITTLE DOG MORE THAN ANYTHING AND I LOST MY SASHA A WEEK BEFORE I GOT TIFFANY AND I JUST WON'T BE ABLE TO GO THROUGH THAT AGAIN ANYTIME SOON!!! MAN, I WAS A MESS FOR A SOLID WEEK - UNTIL I GOT TIFFANY - AND JUST THINKING ABOUT IT AGAIN CAUSED TEARS TO STREAM DOWN MY FACE JUST NOW!!! ok - I'm better now. . .

ANYWAY. . .I am afraid she might have to have a C-Section and then will reject the little babies, I am afraid I could lose her, I am afraid that she might just BURST because she has gained 2 whole pounds - as of yesterday - now was a whopping 5.4 lbs.!!!

AM I JUST FREAKING OUT OVER THE MESSAGE BOARD POST I READ??
BECAUSE THE VET SAID SHE SHOULD BE JUST FINE!!

Now PLEASE!!! DON'T ANYONE COMPLETELY TRY AND FREAK ME OUT, BUT SHOULD I BE WORRIED??? WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT WOULD BE GOOD RIGHT ABOUT NOW - AS SHE IS ON HER 60TH DAY RIGHT NOW!!

ANYONE OUT THERE THAT HAS HAD A YORKIE THAT GOT PREGNANT YOUNG AND GAVE (natural) BIRTH TO A LITTER AND HAD NO PROBLEMS AFTER??

I would appreciate any and all help with this - I have only (before Sasha) bred Golden Retrievers and they never had any issues - at all. I understand with this tiny little breed - that I feel madly in love with (at first sight!) there are different concerns because of their size and all, and she is very young. . .but COME ON!!! I just want to be HAPPY for her!!!

OH. . .and before anyone says anything about I should have watched over her and kept her away from males, etc.. . .I DID!!! I brought her in - and was putting her in the kennel as the phone rang - my daughter was taking her dog out - and they both ran into the bathroom - and BAM!! IT WAS DONE - I HEARD THAT TELL TALE YELP AND THAT WAS THAT!!! WHEN WE ALL RAN INTO THE BATHROOM - THEY WERE ALREADY FACING AWAY FROM EACHOTHER - WOW!!! HOW THE HECK DOES THAT HAPPEN!!??!! SHE WAS EVEN WEARING AN XSMALL DENIM DIAPER WITH A PAD ON!!!!! TRICKY RICK HAD HIS WAY WITH HER IN A MATTER OF SECONDS!!! LITERALLY!!! I WAS A BIT UPSET - BUT MY HUSBAND!!! WOW!!! YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT SOMEONE WAS HAVING THEIR WAY WITH ONE OF HIS DAUGHTERS RIGHT THERE IN THAT BATHROOM. . .HE WAS LIVID!!! WE ARE ALL VERY VERY CONCERNED - I AM JUST TRYING TO BE HAPPY FOR HER!!! I AM HAPPY FOR HER. . .THEY ARE GOING TO BE THE CUTEST, HAPPIEST, HEALTHIEST LITTER OF CHORKIES AND LIL BABY MOMMA IS GOING TO BE JUST FINE. . .RIGHT!??!

Omg Vet Visit Today @ 61 days

Well, I just arrived home about a 1/2 hour ago from the Vet and they took some more Xrays and you can CLEARLY SEE 3 PUPPIES (this time)!!! The vet said that the puppies are very well developed - you can see their little heads, muzzles, spines, rib cages & each little rib!!! However, one of the puppies is VERY LONG and the Vet said that he is "a little concerned about this one". . ."it is very long, a lot bigger than the other two, looks like a little aligator in there"!!! He also stated that ". . .it is quite possible that she may need a C-Section.". I KNEW IT!!! I KNEW THERE WERE 3 - I could feel them moving around in there!!! I also KNEW that one was much bigger than the other two. . .I could feel that too!!!

NO ONE EVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT MY SITUATION. . .EITHER NO ONE CARES, OR Y'ALL JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY!!

BUT, NEVERMIND THAT - NOW I NEED ADVISE FOR AFTER C-SECTIONS, ETC. I AM HOPING IT WILL ALL BE FINE AND SHE WON'T HAVE TO HAVE ONE, BUT I KNOW NOT TO WAIT SO LONG THAT I ENDANGER TIFFANY & THE PUP! The Vet said ". . .if she is trying for and hour. . .no even a 1/2 hour with no puppy coming out. . .call us and bring her in right away.". So, any other advise. . .ANYONE??? ANYONE??? (like the teacher from Ferris Buhler's Day Off

I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE SOME HELP & ADVISE HERE!!! PLEASE!!

I am not much help being in the same situation myself. My girl is on day 61, has completely stopped eating. i am feeding her a little with a syringe and nutracal. my x-rays showed two pretty good size babies and she might not be able to have them. they told me if she is in labor for thirty minutes to call and head out with her. her pelvic x-ray looks like she MIGHT be able to have them but they told me to prepare myself for a C-section. So I guess we are in this together. Just watch your baby very close. I haven't slept for two nights now. i think tonight is the night for us. Good luck!!!!!!

OH, WOW!!! Well, it looks like we are in this together!!! My dog is still eating - she wouldn't eat at all this morning, but she started earlly afternoon - and is back to not eating at all again!! Last night she started acting wierd - nesting - and did a little panting, but then stopped within like 10 mins. So, she's almost there!!! OMG you would think I was having triplets!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR RESPONDING!!! SOUNDS LIKE WE GOT THE SAME ADVISE - SO I AM HOPING IT IS GOOD ADVISE!!!!

Well, please let me know; when, what, why, how, where! AND. . .I will do the same with you!!! I will put you on my "buddy list" - you will be my first!!! I hope you don't mind - because it will be easier to "find" you! I am still a major "newbie" on here and it's not like myspace - so everything takes some getting used to!!!!!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND YOUR BABY!!!

I have had 2 singleton litters and both whelped fine, the last time on the x-ray the vet said that looks to be a big pup,she whelped fine no problems I think the little one was all stretched out in there of course he had a horn all to himself,my vet thought the same thing on the x-ray the pup looked big he was only 4ounces at birth. So it is possible all will be fine and if he comes or she comes last that is better also, mom has already been stretched out from the other two.
My little girl ate right up to whelping was eating watermelon and asparagus 3 hours before she whelped, she usually does not eat at all the day of whelping. They are all different and each gestation is different.
Just keep a good eye on her and your vet close.Things can happend fast and can also go slow.
My female had a c-section this time for 6 pups the last one was sideways we started at 7 pm and I had her home by 9:30,my vet did not want to keep her he told me you will watrch her better than me and I know her better so we came home. All was good you could not telll she had a c-section the next day by her behavior.
Good luck ladies and remember a watched yorkie does not whelp.LOL At least that is what I think sometimes!! Our temp this last time only dropped to 99..6.
