| Artifical Insemination please let me know what you breeders think about this. the reason i am asking is coco i black/gold and my stud is blue/gold. so i cannot breed the two. i am NOT impressed with the yorkies in my area that are offered for stud. i don't want to ship her so i thought of AI. i dabbled in this when i first started studding 3 years ago but it didn't go very well. most people didn't know what it was. i am very familiar and have done two AI's that were sucessful. so let me know if you have any thoughts on this....what do you think?....any other options opened to me..... and if you find this is a good option, who can you recommend? i trust myself but who else out there can i trust. i can see someone being very MEAN and sending me sperm of a english bulldog just to see what happens. i have a good 8 months before she can breed so i have plenty of time thanks lisa

| Hey I'm in Gloucester and we could get together and make some pretty pups. Connor has his UKC championship and is pointed in AKC. You can see his picture is my profile. We live in Gloucester and his first litter is due next month.

| I've never done it, but I did look into it at one time. If I'm not mistaken, the AKC requires that a vet take the sperm (along with the stud DNA) and ships it to your vet for the insemination to be recorded. It makes sense to me and it would be the only way I would accept it. Check the AKC guidelines to be sure, but this way you'd be getting the dog you paid for. Good luck. |

| I've read about it, but have never had one done. They sell kits online, if anyone wanted to do one around here, there are no repro vets nearby, so one would rely on those. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. My male is black and gold, actually a dark gold. I've never thought about the mean things people could do, that's a scary thought. |
