| to be or not to be PREGNANT!!!! I am sooo confused!!! I have two yorkie females!!! One had a litter (1 living pup) the first of January 2007. I had the other bread on the 13th of january, she should be 41 days pregnant... but... I am now wondering if she is having a false pregnancy... she only put on 1 pound, nipples erect but not swollen, vulva not swollen, no discharge!!! Tummy doesn't seem to be getting bigger! She had all the symptoms... morning sickness... if she could sit on my head she WOULD!! I'm thinking maybe since she was around the little pup from my other female... she's playing mom to her.. and is having a false pregnancy!! She did tie though... any thoughts? Moka |

| She may only have one or two pups in there.... if she has gained weight... there is a chance that she is pregnant...you could have her xrayed in two weeks if she doesn't still show by then. Best of luck and keep us posted.

| You should be able to feel them when you gently squeeze on her tummy. They should feel like little golf balls.

| No squeezing you can cause premature seperation. Let your vet palpitate Some dams don't really show until the final couple of weeks.

| My friend dog had one pup and she never showed signs of being pregant. She tied twice. She kept her figure the whole time. In fact she was 3 days late. So we didn't think she was going to have any. She sure surprized us. with her little (big) boy. |
