| Pregnant???? Well I just got back from the vet and we had x-rays done and It appears that Abby is not pregnant. My question is, is this common the first time that a female is bred? The owner of the male that I took abby to said that they bred 3 times in 3 days. The male has produced 8 litters and is only 2 years old, so he is a proven stud. Do females just not produce a litter even though they have been bred? Could there be other reasons for no litter?

| A tie is not required to conceive...."remember you can artifically inseminate"

The reason I am asking is because I think my girl must not be pregnant either, she isn't showing any signs, except weight gain, moodiness and a voracious appetite. Just wish I knew for sure.

| We bred Abby three days in a row and then she wouldn't stand for the male anymore, so I brought her home. At first she seemed pregnant, morning sickness, wanting to be with me all the time, and sleeping, but then she never really got big, did put on some weight as she was able to eat freely, where as before I fed her only 2 times as day. She never really seemed to be starving, which should have been my first clue. I did not have a smear done before breeding. The smear you are refering to, is it for fertility or for detecting infection?

| Also, forgot we bred her on the 10th day after bleeding started and ended on the 13th as she wasn't interested in the male anymore. Well actually she just wanted to tease him. She would put her rump in his face, but when he wanted to mount her she would run away. She was shameful. Haaa
