Yorkie Yakker | new puppy pelvis is fused I went to vet today to have mommy and babies checked. One puppy the vet says Pelvis is fused which is probably genetic. Can anyone give me information about this condition. Vet said to do physical theropy on her and she may over come and will eventually be able to walk. |

| Poor baby. I did see a show on one of the animal planet shows that showed a new born pup who had something like what you are saying. They also did physical therapy on him for sometime and he did walk! It was wonderful to see him run and play. Good luck with you little one. Make it happen! Carol & Buddy |

| puppy Wait until it is born to see what is what...I know of two pups who were deformed on the xray, only to be born normal...may well be a problem, but dogs overcome much more then humans... |

| I think the mom, Lacy already had her pups, 2 of them, this one was the surviving puppy. |

| puppy Oh, thanks for pointing that out to me....for some reason I thought the pup was not born as yet. Anyway, never give up...you can not begin to imagine the things I have seen pups overcome. I had one born with both back legs curled inwardly so badly. The vet wanted to put her down at a week...but I massaged her legs and by 8 weeks the vet could not tell which pup had the problem...even took an xray and the bones were fine. Best Wishes |

Yorkie Yakker | Puppy with fused pelvis I want to thank everyone for the great support ya'll haven't given us. Just a small correction. The mother to this puppy is Daisy (which is Lacy's mom) She had her puppies a week before Lacy. Lacy's puppy is doing just great and she is a real porker. I have lots of pictures of her and Lacy and I will post a picture as soon as I can figure out how to. (I'm new to this site) |
