| Nursing pups6 wks tomorrow Just had a few questions ...Hope I am leaving this in the right spot... Mama doesnt seem too interested in feeding them for much longer than a FEW minutes, but I have noticed the pups sometimes spitting out milk after she shakes them off or gets up ...then they try to lick it up again... Is this normal? Have you seen it? Why do they do this?AND As far as weening the pups what is the best process....or should I say what are the best tips you can give. What coulc I possiblly be doing differently right now? Pups are eating food daily and water...Mom doesn't sleep with them at night anymore...so I think I am on the right track here... The pups do "attack" mom EVERYTIME she walks near them....not all at the same time but atleast one of them will.

| I started weening mine at about 4 - 4 1/2 weeks with a gruel. Mama was wanting to ween them at this time. There are a lot of good threads on this subject. You might type in weening or gruel in the search at the top.
