I don't know anything about xrays, but if you look "behind" the lower baby's spine, doesn't it look like a shadow of another head? and the spine would be kind of lined up with the top baby, making his spine look really long? Just my totally amateurish interpretation! I can't wait to find out, now. Thanks for sharing the xray pic. Very fascinating! Good luck and bless your little mommy... deb

I'm thinking that is a strange angle for an ex- ray and there could be more in there. It looks from the picture there is another spine to the left. Don't go to bed to early........

| you may be right Quote:
You may be right on that. I looked again after reading your post. I would have thought that the vet would have seen another skull, but that is a really long spine, so it may be another skull. Good job! I agree--dont go to be early and when two are delivered wait a bit and feel her tummy, if it feels like there is another in there and she hasnt started pushing after a couple hours, you might be wise to take her back in to the vet.

It sure looks like a lot of legs up to the left to me, if it were my vet I would tell him I need another picture and to do it right this time. Only because my vet and I are great friends and I do not like surprises!!! I like to get some sleep when it is over if I can......

Omg!!!! I am a little nervous now!!! I wanted an Xray in the fist place to make sure of the number of pups... that way... I will be able to relax and enjoy the new mom and babies... Hmmm I think I am going to call her... NO I WILL!!! Thank you so much... I was kinda wondering about all the legs at the top left hand corner... now I guess... I am not wondering so much... thank you all.... Moka

The ex-rays don't always show everything and sometimes they are wrong. Once at my vets they counted 6 puppies on a ex-ray and when they did the c-section on a Springer Spaniel there were 13, they were all very surprised!! They just kept coming and coming. It was kind of funny. It is always good to know how many and if she is pregnant and that there is more than one is a very good thing, but it is always good to wait and see after you think they are all here, she may surprise you with a bonus!!!!! When is she due???

I'm really surprised that the vet only said two, when several of us NON-vets are seeing legs and extra spines etc..... kinda scary to me. But I hope the delivery goes super smoothly!! deb
